Miami Valley Wine & Spirits

All I needed was craft beer from Ohio, because I'm not local and I love to sample regionals. I literally Yelp-ed this spot from I-70 and it was open (yay! for local liquor laws!). Their craft beer cooler (cave?) is chock-full of Buckeye State brew. I grabbed a sampling of beer ranging from Dayton to Cleveland, malty to hoppy, and I am so happy for the selection that Miami Valley Wine & Spirits had!Super-friendly service, too, helping me pick a range of IPAs to Marzens. People generally love to rep their local area, and these guys were no different. Clearly Ohio has game in their craft beer industry and Miami Valley Wine & Spirits is a great spot to support local!

It's nice to have a store that carries more than the usual, and the shelves have enough to offer to make a short visit worthwhile. Pros: Decent beer selection, though rather irregular if you like the obscure brands. Usual selection of hard liquor.Cons: Management too lazy to fix the front door that 'sticks'.( The sign asking customers to pull hard has been on the door for more than a year..). Not everybody likes profanity-laced rap music so loud on some occasions it makes your ears bleed. Prices not very competitive in my opinion. If you want to see why folks are calling Huber Heights the 'New Trotwood' stop in on a Friday or Saturday night. Suggestion: FIX THE FREAKING DOOR; It's not like you don't bring in enough money to take care of routine maintenance.

Not sure why this place had such a bad review. I had a great experience here. In an area over-saturated with drive thru beer coolers, it was refreshing and relieving to finally find a place with a true variety of liquors that range the proof spectrum. They have literally an entire back wall of different vodkas. I had been on the hunt for a seasonal bottle, and they were the only place in the area that had it; and they had a whole row of them. I took a stroll around the store and it's the same for the rest of their spirits as well. Not a huge beer or wine selection, but I did see some crafts (although I wasn't really looking, as I'm not a beer drinker, so take that as you will). If you have been looking for a true liquor store in the area, this is your place. Clean, well-stocked (they were even receiving shipments as I was there), good prices, and quick service. It's the only place I'll be frequenting from now on!

I should have learned the first time I went there. My second visit went the same as the first. I will spare the details ,but they are not very helpful and the bottles are dusty and the whole place is dirty. Vodka and blackberry brandy were on my list for making tinctures and syrups. I found vodka and then went to meijers and it was half the price. They only had one big bottle of BlackBerry brandy. Inam new to OH and was under the impression state liquor stores were cheaper. Anyway save yourself some grief and filth and go to a grocery store.

Stopped selling OH2O???!!!!! Please restock asap. I will loyally buy a case per week.
