Mi Mexico

I've eaten here twice. Very authentic hole in the wall place. Always clean and very nice wait staff. I usually order a Gordita, street taco and some other thing I can't quite remember the name of. I prefer the pastor.

I love hole in the wall Mexican food! This is a Mexican grocery store with a small kitchen in the back with the owners wife and her mom or his mom cooking it up in the back. The Al Pastor taco was amazing good flavor the rice isn't the best Mexican rice I've had kinda watery and bland they didn't even have enough rice for a side. The steak taco was good but not at flavorful as the Al Pastor the tamales are chicken in a green sauce are very good. Otherwise, this place is cheap and good. They do lack on English so you will have to have her husband take the order which is fine with me :)

This is our post-teaching, one-night-a-week, hangout for a few hours, have some chips & salsa, tostadas, margaritas, and beer. It's awesome! Right now the seating is limited, but I think there are plans to create a restaurant next door. I would be so happy to have another local restaurant in town rather than a chain.The grocery selection is very good, and you'll be able to locate ingredients you cannot find at Kroger, etc. (you know that ridiculous section of shelving in Kroger labeled Hispanic? I guess at least Kroger is "trying" for "ethnic" foods...sad effort, but hey, this isn'[t Kroger review)The best part of the place is the hospitality. The owner is about the friendliest, most welcoming person you'll meet. Even though he's running a grocery store, you feel like you're in a restaurant, because he's always asking if you need something else, asking whether you like the food, etc. I'm also a big fan of the programs on tv. I couldn't tell you what they're about, but they feature all sorts of odd characters.

Grocery and cafe in store, was yummy last time I was there.

Found this place on Yelp. Being from south Texas I am very happy to find this place. The food is great. Not Tex-mex but real authentic Mexican food. Not a lot of options but very good. Cooked when ordered not food sitting in a steam tray. Only drawback for people, mostly Spanish spoken here. Only 4 tables in back of grocery store. I will eat here many more times.
