Got the shrimp and grits and what an unusual take on it. The smoked cheddar grit cakes were phenomenal and it was a nice balance with the spicy andouille and the sweet hazelnut. Table got the scallops and crab cakes and loved them.

My wife and I have been here twice now and have heard mixed reviews from just about everyone, some people raving and others so disappointed with the food, the price. The good: service is on point. Friendly servers, host, and staff. Manager/supervisor came by to ask how we were doing. I appreciate that touch. The appetizers (especially Blue Dog bread!) were delicious and well done. The bad: the entrees are not that good. This last time we went and got the Caribbean chicken - my wife said it was the most disappointing meal she'd had all month (it was a short month :)). The other meal was better but for what we paid ($100 for both) it was not worth the money. The ambience is great. It's a hopping place.

We took my mom to Mesh for her birthday tonight not knowing at all what to expect. First of all, the place is gorgeous. Moody, good lighting, cozy, and modern. We had a bit of a wait and weren't sat until 20 min after our reservation time, but the manager came over and graciously apologized and sent us a free starter of the Blue Dog bread, which was crusty and fabulous. For drinks, we all had iced tea and a couple of cocktails. The Old Fashioned came out strong, made very well with our choice of bourbon (Old Forrester 100 proof), and the Paddington Pear vodka cocktail was tangy and tart, super good. All three of us ordered from the surf side of the menu; we had the shrimp and grits, the crab cakes, and the scallops. Every single dish was phenomenal, we were all eating bites off each other's plates to try everything. The plating and the accompaniment vegetables with every dish was remarkable. To quote my mom, "These scallops are like sugar, come to Mama!" We also did the fried green tomato app and the white chocolate cherry bread pudding for dessert. My word!! We will certainly be back!

A whole month in, and finally going to brunch for the first time in 2025 (outside of the cruise because that really didn't count). Tried a new spot here in Louisville, and we were not disappointed! Good mimosas (not bottomless, but only $5 a glass), the Fried green tomatoes were pretty good (too much greenery for the presentation, but still good nonetheless). Chicken and French Toast, and Shrimp & Grit cakes. Our server, Ashley, was exceptional! She made the experience super pleasant. Very cozy set up, with the music at a respectable level to enjoy it, but also enjoy conversations as well.If you're in town, this is definitely a good spot to add to your "Restaurants to Try" list.

The atmosphere was classy. Even at 1:30pm it felt sophisticated. The lighting was lovely. The food was wonderful. The Brussel sprout dip was very unique and tasty. The Hot Brown was the best I've ever had. My husband had the breakfast burger and he enjoyed it. The craft cocktails were good, with a little over pour on the old fashioned. The service was prompt and friendly.

Solid choice but spendy. I guess that's the bottom line up front. Rolled in for a Monday night dinner with the wife and her best friend from PRPHS. We live several hundred miles away so any trip to the Lou is an opportunity for us to try new places. Started with the fried green tomatoes. Full disclosure, I grew up in a northern city and these may well have been my first restaurant-prepared fried green tomatoes. Definitely the best I've had and loved the assortment of other tasty stuff on the plate besides the fried tomatoes. Lovely dressing on the lettuce garnish as well as an interesting goat cheese mousse that I'll attempt to recreate at home and whipped pimento cheese. Yum!My main was their braised short rib. Maybe the two double bourbons I drank were coloring my memory but I'm confident that I loved my meal more than the others at the table. Menu description includes [sic] smoked gouda potato cake, brussels sprouts, butternut squash purée, red wine reduction & demi glacé. Every bite was amazing!Other stuff that hit the table but which I didn't try included their ribeye and lobster mac & cheese. Dessert was their peanut butter pie. Wife's favorite but other options appealed to me a little bit more. Of note: service and bourbon selection. They also have some great tequilas on-hand but I had bourbon on the brain last night.

Another great Mesh experience! Everything on the menu is delicious. I had the salmon and it was great, only complaint was that the broccolini in my dish was cold.

Very nice place. I called it bougie but it definitely was decent prices. I didn't feel it was any higher than other places. The ambiance is good for safe night, night out with the girls or even parties. It was very spacious. We went for brunch and the food was so good. I had the mesh Benedict with eggs over medium instead of a poached egg. The flavors were so good together with the grit cake. The sausage on it was nice and chunky. Very filling meal. Our waitress Kaitlynn was very attentive. She handled our big group of about 15 all by herself with no glitches. She was great!

It's been a while since I've been back at Mesh! The last time I came was for brunch on a Sunday and they were fairly new. We had sat outdoors and it was really pretty out there! This time, my sister suggested it for Sunday brunch since she really liked the food during restaurant week. We didn't have a reservation but they seated us right away! Didn't seem to be all that busy. Lots of tables and bar seating were still open. We sat inside though as patio seating was already full. For our starter, we ordered the calamari and the biscuits with jam. Delicious! The calamari came on such a large plate! And the biscuits were fluffy but not heavy.I also got sweet tea while my sister tried their hot coffee. The tea isn't all that sweet which wasn't bad! For food, I got something from the appetizer menu, the smoked salmon dip. It came with baguette and mustard. It was very filling! So tasty! My family got the vegetarian omelet, the salmon Benedict, and the mesh salad with chicken. We all loved the food!Service was good and the food came out pretty quick as well. It's a nice restaurant. I'll be back for dinner next time!
