Ooh, this place is a vibe! A friend and I went on a Friday night. We wanted some Mexican food and wanted to go somewhere that neither one of us had been to. We were seated right away. There was a live band performing in Spanish. They were pretty good and added to the lively atmosphere! There was a very large family celebrating a birthday. In fact, several people were there celebrating birthdays. The band sang to them and the staff brought out cake and had noise makers. I would venture to say that we were one of, if not the the only, native, English speakers in the restaurant. It was nice and I got to practice my Spanish. This visit let me know that Necessito practicar. :-) The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The service was a bit slow, but, very friendly. It was very crowded that night so service being a bit slow is to be expected. It is LOUD and festive so don't expect to have deep conversations, but, do be prepared to have a good time!

Seen this restaurant and decided to try it out. It's in a shopping strip area. They had a lot of servers but it took a while for us to get our drink order in. What surprised me is that they only served sweet tea and not unsweetened. We order the cheese dip. It was served with a spoon and it was watery where you couldn't dip the nachos without it running off. The salsa to me wasn't good, it tasted like spaghetti sauce. I had the steak, chicken and shrimp fajita. The beef and chicken had a good taste but there was no sour cream or guacamole but only lettuce, a slice of tomato and slice of onion. The rice was very bland but I enjoyed the bean soup, I believe it was charro bean soup. The presentation of the taco salad was nice but my wife said it was bland as well. The salad bowl was actually pretty good and that was the only thing she really like about it. The music in the restaurant was different than the bar and there was a machine that played music as well so you had loud music that was annoying. They had a lot of seafood on their menu and not a ton of other items which was good so you weren't overwhelmed looking at the menu. As I mentioned before there were a lot of servers for a small restaurant and we wouldn't see our servers for awhile. Overall it was just okay and I don't think I would go back as I have other favorites that I would rather go to first.

I'm from San Diego and I approve this message, it could be better but from all the mariscos places we've tried this one is the closest one that had authentic mariscos and the ambiance was great they had the Mexico soccer game going on if you don't like loud music while you eat might not be the place for you. Service could be a little better some of the servers where just standing in a corner I had to get another server who wasn't the one taking care of us to help me out. But again rather than that I recommend it specially the lemonade,shrimp tacos, the shrimp broth they give you at the beginning is sooo good!

First time here. It was good. Definitely a place I would like to return too. The portion size was great. My shrimp ceviche was a small but it was enough for lunch and my dinner. Staff here was so pleasant. Great job everyone

We've been here several times over the last few years but hadn't been in awhile.We were in the area and stopped in on Sunday for dinner. It was very busy and very lively. There were a couple of celebrations going on - where the staff came out a few times, wearing hats, and sang to a customer. The music was up loud and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There's a small bar on one side. Tables and booths on the other. The menu is heavy on the seafood, as that is their speciality. The standard Chips & Salsa were brought out and my husband ordered a beer. The chips and salsa weren't great this time but it was ok. My husband ordered the Fried Catfish dinner. It came with fries and a small side of rice. I ordered the Burrito Hawaiian. It was filled with carnitas and onion, topped with cheese sauce and some shrimp and chorizo. We both thought our food was really good. I tried some of the catfish and it was delicious. Perfectly season and fried. And the spicy tartar sauce that is served with it is so yummy! I was grabbing my husbands fries to dip in the sauce. He said the rice was quite good and he'd have preferred more rice and less fries. My burrito was pretty tasty too. I would've liked more chorizo and shrimp and less pork filling. But that's just my preference. Both the chorizo and shrimp were really good and the shrimp tender. The grilled pineapple on it was delicious! The service was fairly quick for how busy they were.

This place is mainly a seafood restaurant From the menu to the walls and decor it's pretty obvious Though don't get me wrong they have other things as well on the menu A little something for everybody But their specialty is seafood When your seated your given a small little complimentary bowl with a shrimp soup and shrimp , like a sample size which is pretty cool as well as their complimentary salsa and chips I wasn't a fan of the salsa too much it was very tomatoey (yes I just made that word up lol)I got the chicken quesadillas the waitress asked if I wanted it "con todo" (with everything) I said yes But not sure what "todo" really meant because it literally was just a chicken and cheese quesadilla lol What was the with everything? There was nothing more It was very dry Kinda wish it came with sour cream and more (I thought that was what con todo meant like it comes with pico de gallo sour cream lechuga etc) It was very overcooked and brown like it was cooked on a flattop grill , very dry flavor and greasy at the same time I probably should have asked for some sour cream but I don't think it would have helped to be honest Hubby had the shrimp cocktail which I regret not getting cuz it looked reallll good He couldn't even finish it They give you a lot of shrimp ! Definitely will come back and try other menu items I wanna try that shrimp cocktail for sure next time I should have just stuck to their seafood items lesson learned lol Will be back ! Also - the decor is amazing if you pay attention to the details of the booth and chairs they are handmade and embroidered with their restaurant name ! Love it !

Found this place on a whim while shopping out in Trucounty. So happy I did. I love Mexican food and this place did not disappoint. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because when I walked in there were 2 staff members in the lobby, both on their cellphone. No one greeted me and they both looked at me. I was about to leave but then another staff came from the back and seated me. I was really thinking I should go but I was hungry and the food on the next table looked really good. She took my order fast and the food came even faster. I ordered the chicken tacos, chicken gorditas (but they gave me steak) and the rice and beans. I was mad about the Gordian but it tasted good and the steak was tender so I didn't complain...like I said I was hungry. I will say the rice and beans were absolutely FABULOUS! All in all it was a really good lunch and I do plan to return.

My son and I stopped in for lunch today. This place is fabulous. This place is authentic. Everything is fresh and clean when you walk in. Everyone was very friendly. We were seated promptly and given menus. Since I speak about two words of Spanish, the menu was a bit complex for me. (I took one home and am planning the next visit.) It was lunch, so I wasn't looking for a feast. I got it anyway.They brought us the basket of tortilla chips and salsa. They asked if we wanted guacamole or cheese dip. We passed, but others in the restaurant didn't. Regret. The salsa was really good and pretty hot. Next time, we'll order the full appetizer.I ordered Sopes - A beautiful thick tortilla with steak (or other choice of meat), red sauce, beans, crema and avocado and queso. It was actually two tortillas - I took one home. The serving was huge! It was delicious. Just enough heat to make it interesting, but not too much. I would order again.Son ordered the California Burrito. Very, very big. Tasted wonderful (except for the cilantro - yes, I'm one of those). Here's the kicker. The french fries that accompanied it were fabulous, wonderful, OMG I never thought I would get french fries like that in a Mexican restaurant! They, alone were worth the trip.We finished with the fried ice cream because I'm a sucker for fried ice cream. Best I ever had.Since I wasn't getting the message about the food - fish plaques on the wall - fish on the menu - fish everywhere - I ordered steak. I will not make that mistake again. Everyone else in the restaurant was ordering various seafood platters. It is, basically, a seafood restaurant. LOLAngela was our server. She was friendly and efficient. I wish I had mined her for more information. Only complaint and it was big enough to knock off a star - Their drinks are all bottled or booze. I couldn't get any iced tea, which would have made this meal absolutely 10 stars. Water was bottled for $1. Son had the Mexican Coke and it was really good.

Be prepared: the music is LOUD. They have two different songs playing at the same time and both are loud. Now as for the food. We were a little scared when we saw the other reviews but honestly the food was fantastic! It was all delicious! We ordered the quesadilla, chimichanga, gorditas and tostada. All was very good!

Delicious food, and friendly staff. Only reason Iit didn't receive five stars is there should've been an offer for more water in regards to refills and directions that you had to take the bill up to the register.
