Madison Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar

It was a beautiful day to sit by the river with a friend to get a fish sandwich. The hostess greeted us and walked us to a small table. I like to have room when I eat so I made the request to sit at a bigger table. Our server was pretty quick to acknowledge us and get our drink order while offering us some appetizers. We agreed on some Hushpuppies. It was a big disappointment for sure. I don't think any of the 5-6 were bigger than a quarter. They had decent flavor but they were more like Hushpoppers than Hush Puppies.We both had fish sandwiches. I had onion rings and he had fries. It was an ok size portion and the taste was good enough. It was a great atmosphere and that makes up for a lot of things.

Chris our bartender was welcoming and friendly. He welcomed us and asked for our names. He made drink suggestions and shared about the area. We didn't try the food but we saw plenty of it coming out of the kitchen. AND the view is spectacular. If I lived in town I would be a regular. I highly recommend it.

The most rude employees, and food was nothing special for that price. I would suggest spending my money anywhere in Madison but there.
