Stopped in, 1st time, during the December holiday Clifton Fest on Ludlow. We got a friendly welcome and explanation of the day's tasting menu. Between us 2, we shared a tasting of four pours--all of which were good. The atmosphere is great and Ludlow Wines has a neighbourly vibe that is quintessential to the Clifton Gaslight area.

I am 100% biased here. This has been my local wine shop for almost ten years, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Mike is just the best. Before the pandemic I absolutely loved being able to stop in and have a glass of wine on my way home from work. Now, I just settle for picking up a quick bottle and chatting with the owner. This is that neighborhood spot where you walk in and someone (likely the owner) will shout your name to greet you. This is the kind of place where the owner will remember what you like, and lure you in off the street with the promise of a little taste of deliciousness. This is the kind of place you always stop by, sometimes just to say hi. I'm not sure if/when I'll ever leave this neighborhood, but if/when I do Ludlow Wines will be the place I miss the most.

This used to be one of my favorite spots to stop in when I lived in Clifton (the only reason I don't still regularly go is because I don't live SUPER close anymore). I always loved popping in and getting a recommendation from the staff. The best part was that I never felt an ounce of pretentiousness from the shop. The staff was always super eager to make a recommendation and always seemed to be understanding that I wasn't some wine connoisseur and was looking for the best bang for my buck. I can't wait until COVID is all over and they are doing tastings again, I always loved coming here for those. This is SUCH a great little shop to support and I'm plotting a trip to get some wine stocking stuffers for some loved ones this year. The prices always seem reasonable and you really can't beat the service. Not sure what to get your wine loving friend? Ask the staff here, they are great!

Mike (manager and owner?) runs a great shop. He always had helpful recommendations based on my asks and once ordered a dessert wine that he didn't have in stock. The store also serves as a pickup site for CSA co-op Our Harvest Cooperative members, which is very convenient for folks in Clifton or nearby. And during Black History Month, Mike hosted related events. A good neighborhood shop!

A cute little store on Ludlow. If you're looking for a wine retailer in Clifton this is probably your stop.I checked this place out last week. The selection seems on the slender side and it's a bit hard to find what your looking for. I did a couple loops around the store and couldn't figure out what was where. Seemed like a hodge-podge. They sorely need to put up some signs for the visual learners (Chardonnay, Cab, etc).Staff seemed friendly, but only really acknowledged me when I was reaching for the door to leave. By then I was already over it and didn't want to waste any more time there.

I really enjoy this place. Friendly, approachable, plus wine tastings every weekend. I have been too several of their wine tastings now. They are so laid back and friendly, they really are worth checking out. I love to meet friends and nearly make a night of it.I also went in for holiday gifts. If you go in with a budget and even just red or white in mind, they can suggest something great for you and wrap it up. Also watch it for really low deals on overstock items. I'll be curious to try their craft beer selection next time.

My favorite spot in town! Doesn't hurt that I'm around the corner. Being new in town, it was so special to be able to walk into Ludlow wines and find such a friendly community of folks. Mike and Elizabeth are fantastic hosts and the wine tastings Friday and Saturday nights are a lot of fun. I've also bought wine from Mike and its always reasonable. I know I'll be visiting at least once a month while I'm living around the corner.

I cannot believe I have lived in Clifton so long and have not tried Ludlow Wines! Ludlow Wines offers wines, beers, and some other beverages like kombucha. A wine or beer flight is currently $7. My boyfriend and I tried the wine flight tonight and were impressed. There were generous pours of two white wines (a bubbly and a Chardonnay) and two reds (a Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon). The wines were great and we met a couple of locals who were super friendly. In addition to meeting your beverage needs, Mike the owner is also a notary public and can notarize documents for you- added bonus!

This is a great place to wine taste and relax on a Friday or Saturday night! A really cool local spot. The owner is a nice guy who is passionate about wine. A good selection of wines from casual to fancy, and Mike's recommendations are very helpful.

Came in on a day off and spent some time talking to the owner. He was super knowledgeable and a pleasure. The interior was super cozy, and the wine selection was great. It was also only $4 a glass, so it was a great place to kill some time.
