Spectacular soul food restaurant that is top notch that we can't get enough of. Only place I have tried two weeks in a row.My Catfish and Crispy chicken dinners were delicious and loved every bite. The bananas pudding is out of this world with a unique cookie in it. The only complaint is the greens were too salty.Easy to place phone orders. The service is excellent. The place is large and impressive.There is construction on the side street parking that shuts off parts of Oak St by the restaurant.Next month is my birthday and I will come back for a third time. My wife can't wait because every weekend she keeps asking me when are we going back. It is that good.

The food was really good. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was really good as well. The staff was friendly. The owner came out to thank everyone for coming in. If you're in the mood for comfort food, give this local business a try.

Seen this restaurant on TV! Flew all the way from Tampa to taste fried chicken and was not disappointed! Off the chart!!!!

Service was non existent. So we left after an hour without being approached by a server. The people across the aisle from us left after paying for their drinks but also not having the chance to order. I tried asking for service twice and promised the young lady would get right to us both times she instead waited on new customers. No excuse - when we left there were almost half of the tables empty.

No one in restaurant when we arrived but perhaps it was due to being a Sunday. Seemed almost like a soft opening as the waitress didn't seem to know whether certain items were available. That being said, the chicken was great (5/5)! Very juicy and crisp. We also ordered the Mac and cheese (4/5), Cole slaw (4/5), and some greens (4/5). We did wait a bit for the food as it appeared everything was cooked to order. Definitely recommend and expect to wait for your food a bit but worth the wait.

Absolutely, hands down, the best fried chicken in Louisville. It's downtown and opens for lunch at noon. They have a parking lot and also there is street parking. It's wasn't locate. The place is spotless -including the ladies' room. They fired up everything in the kitchen as we arrived so everything we ordered was cooked to order. The owner greeted us and shared the family history. Our server, Steffon, was wonderful, describing each menu offering and making helpful suggestions. The chicken pieces are really big. A thigh looks like a breast. Turnip greens the old fashioned way; rich Mac and cheese; homemade mashed potatoes and gravy; OMG the sweet potatoes; seasoned Southern green beans; slightly sweet cornbread; and lots more. Handmade cobbler. A little pricey maybe but worth every penny. More than we could eat. I can't wait to go back.

My order was to go. The service was good, and wait time after ordering at restaurant was reasonable. The food was fresh with the favorable chicken cooked to order, cheesy macaroni and cheese, tender well-seasoned cabbage, and sweet cornbread. I was impressed with the ambiance with fresh flowers on tables, good selection of music, and flat screen televisions.

Amazing ambiance - fried chicken is hands down best in town - hell it's the best in Kyana. You know we love our fried chicken take the time and enjoy. Everyone working here is Amazing - they treated me like they knew me for years. Still singing your praises to friends and family. I WILL BE BACK !!!
