I was told by the locals that this place is a staple and known for its fried chicken. I ordered a breast, potato salad with fries, a roll, and sweet tea. It's not great, mediocre at best. The chicken was too salty, the fries were not crisp enough, and the potato salad was bland. The roll was just a roll. The sweet tea was tea with a packet of sugar, being from Texas I know sweet tea, and this was not it. They ha e some ice cream and homemade candies, but I can't and to that as I was here for the chicken. Nice people, though. FYI - you can sit down and eat inside Friday-Sunday but it's take out the rest of the days. Small town loyalty on this one.

Lovely's Farm Market and Country Café is a nice country drive for us and the Farm Market is a solid Five; Café is convenient and becoming pricey. My wife enjoys the market ambience and various collections Dining Three StarService Three StarAmbience Four StarChicken dinners are popular and attract an older set. Sometimes we see buses of senior citizens....Lovely's Farm Market and Country Café offers overpriced baked goods, and a priceless ambience. Lots of good reasons to visit.

This review is only about the fried chicken and sides. Short version, the fried chicken was mediocre compared to what I recall from years ago. Visited on a Friday in early September (during their fall season, when they expect high foot traffic) around 4PM. We both got fried chicken and ate in the cafe area. I got the dark meat combo (leg and thigh). On the plus side they gave each of us an extra leg because the legs were small. The sides are fairly large and each could server 2 diners: we got potato salad, the "italian salad" (marinated cut up pepper slices, cucumbers and tomatos) and macaroni salad. The fried chicken was disappointing and substandard: the breading was poor - half-on with many bare spots, and it was served not very hot. The cold sides were very good. Overall, disappointing fried chicken. We took home two slices of apple pie which were decent.

Seasonal little market with some amazing fried chicken and several side options.I love once May comes around and this little farm is open. They have some fresh fruit and vegetables. My favorite is the black diamond and sugar baby watermelons.Large selection of different jams, pickles, condiments, fudge, hand dipped ice cream, and little knick knacks. Parking is good and it's easy to find.

We were looking for a light lunch and stopped in at lovely's. It's a farmers market and other nick knacks but apparently it is highly regarded by the locals. They are known for their fried chicken and they seem to do a lot of take out. I had chicken and a pork chop. My wife had chicken. You choose the meat you want and how many pieces and can make it a meal adding a soda and sides and a roll corn bread or muffin. We had a great lunch for less than $25 which now a days is hard to find. It's not fancy. You bus your own table and pick up your food at a window but the food was really good and it was a bargain. The employees were awesome. I think many were family members. It's popular with the older crowd. I keep forgetting I'm getting old too but we were the youngest ones there. That's not a bad thing... just saying.

We usually visit whenever we are in the area and order the chicken dinners to go. I missed out on the delicious corn salad this time. They had just sold out! :( I love Betty Boop and always take a picture with the larger-than-life size replica of her located near the restroom.

What a Fantastic Business... From the fresh fruits and vegetables to the old school southern style cafe... this place absolutely ROCKS! (And it's close by our new house)

This place is not cheap but they have the best fried chicken I've ever had. Lots of side dishes to choose from. Pies, fudge, fresh vegetables and much more. Love looking at the Fiestaware and vintage Betty Boop decor. Bring your appetite and your checkbook.

Our first visit to Lovely's after reading great reviews. my Husband ordered an 8 piece meal of their broasted chicken, $29.00. The breasts had NO breading and pieces were small but live & learn, first visit. the associate told him he could pay for 2 additional breasts but guaranteed no breading. she was very rude, condescending and when he told her " we won't be back" she flippantly said "0k".even though they are close in proximity, the lack of customer appreciation makes me tell all readers to pass on Lovely's.
