Lou's Pony Keg & State Liquor Agcy

I started hitting this place pretty regularly once I found out they got some shipments of some Bourbons I like. However, tonight I went up there and bought a bottle of bourbon and the man behind the counter had charged two airplane bottles of Jack Daniels to my total before I even rang out - must've done it while I was browsing since there was nothing near the scanner when I rang out. I caught it once I swiped my card & alerted him to it. He told me that since I had already swiped my card it was too late to cancel the transaction. I canceled it at the keypad & made him take it off. The fact that I caught him red handed & he was STILL going to make me pay for it!? GFOH!!Just an FYI - pay attention to what they ring you out!!

If competition was allowed to open up close by they would be out of business. Price and selection is fine. Personality of the people that work there is horrible. No smile, no small talk, no appreciation of the customers. Trip after trip regardless of who is behind the counter the poor customer service is consistent.

Location is hard to get to but one of very few liquor stores in the Mason area. Customer service is woefully lacking. Hard to get them to say hello. Also the liqour selection is very small with the bourbons and cognacs behind the counter.

Lou's is not a large liquor store and doesn't have an extensive variety or amount of anything, but it's A-OK in my book since they do make sure to have all the bases covered - beers, vodkas, gins, wines, whiskey, mixers, etc. There's a little bit of everything and the prices are fair. The interior and exterior are obviously dated/aged but everything was tidy and it was very easy to find what we were looking for.There's really nothing to complain about except for maybe the area but even then it's just aged and not really up to the standard that the rest of Mason is - but I can't imagine it'll be like that for too much longer.If you are in the area and need something common they'll likely have it and are a viable option, but if you want something uncommon/rare then you'll need to go elsewhere.

I have lived in Mason Ohio for 30 plus yrs . I love Lou's . The people that work here are the reason I continue to support them . I can never say that I have ever been treated like anything but with the most up most respect and that I am not just a customer but a valued person. Thank you Lou's for being here and making it worth my while to come in and buy what I need or want .

very easy to get to from the road. they have a wide variety of liquors, wines & beers in refrigerators too!the prices are very reasonable & the service is also very nice.

They have a good selection and the employees I've encountered were knowledgeable. They are friendly enough for the level of service I need. In addition, they supported a charity event earlier this year and were quite generous. For those reasons, and it being close to me, I buy my liquor almost exclusively at this location.

It's a liquor store. You go in get your booze and then leave. Also the state of Ohio controls the prices of liquor so anywhere you go it will be the same price. How someone below me can complain about the ppl who work there when you get what you came for.
