Amazing experience, went for a sunday night dinner. Super intimate environment, low lighting and romantic.Service was great answered any questions we had. The shrimp scampi was great especially with the pesto bread and arugula to add freshness. My personal fav was the truffle spaghetti pasta it was a truffle bomb and tasted like an elevated alfredo. The Vodka was good, I like more of a spicy vodka but the flavor was good here too. We even got the butter cake to end the night. It was a little too sweet for me, comes with ice cream which was a good touch. Would recommend for a date night!

I had dinner here last night with my daughter for her birthday dinner. It was enough of a disappointment that I'm not sure I'll return. We had a 6:45 p.m. reservation and were seated right away. Then we just sat. And sat. Eventually, a server said that he was bringing us water but was not our server and that she would be with us shortly. She wasn't. We finally saw our server and put in a drink order. My daughter ordered the Espresso Martini and I ordered the Manhattan. The cocktails were perfect! We ordered the Burrata appetizer. We've had it before and really enjoyed it. This time the burrata was so cold that it was difficult to eat it. Again, we waited. Then for our entrees my daughter ordered the Ribeye - medium, with Truffle Butter. I ordered the Filet - medium rare, with Port Butter. We ordered the shareable side of Charred Onion Mashed Potatoes. When we got our steaks I could tell by the first couple of bites that my steak might be over cooked -because the edge pieces were well done and chewy. I cut my steak in half and it was well over medium rare. It was more well done than my daughter's ribeye (a thinner cut of meat) that she had ordered at medium. It was nearly well done!! I did not send it back though. When the server eventually came around to ask how it was - I said it was fine. My daughter asked why I did not send it back since it was so bad. But service had already been slow and my daughter was 1/3 of the way through her steak by the time the server checked on us. She would've been finished and I would have to wait for a remake of my steak. While the side of potatoes got cold on the table. And then eat my steak by myself while my daughter sat and waited. It just wasn't worth it. We ordered the Butter Cake for dessert. It was as good as we remember it. We ate a bit of it and had it boxed up to go. By the time we got our bill we had been there for 2 hours. While we were not in a hurry - the service was very slow from our server. Tables around us - that did not have our server - were fairing better. She was very friendly and she was knowledgeable of the menu, so she was not new, she's just not that great at her job. But my steak is the reason I'm not in a hurry to rush back. The smuggish quip on the menu - PLEASE NOTE: Losanti is not responsible for Appearance or Taste of well done steaks. - is ironic considering the crappy steak I was served last night.

long story short: good food, but overpriced & some issues with executionWe walked in as a group of 5 & were thrilled that they had seating available. We were seated outside, which was lit with strands of lights & heated. It was a very environment, & shockingly warm despite the cold weather. Our server was knowledgeable & kind, but I must complain that they did not do anything special for the birthday we were celebrating; I understand not adding a candle in the cake isn't a huge deal, but I was hoping for some celebratory flair. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, but I was shocked to see that the non-alcoholic options were the same price as the alcohol-containing drinks. To me, that seems like a scam; I am a huge supporter of mocktails, but $15 is a crazy price to pay for one. We ordered the steak frites & the burger. Both were delicious, but the steak frites had some issues. First, the steak is tiny; when they first brought the order out, I thought it was a half portion, as the steak appeared to be half of a normal cut. For $40, it was an embarrassingly small amount of meat. Second, it was lukewarm at best. We told our server, who offered to reheat it, but it was brought back still barely warm. That being said, the entrees were delicious. I was especially impressed with the burger, which was well worth $18 price tag. We also got house salad, but it was incredibly bland, even with the salami & olives. I would not recommend this salad. Next was dessert: the immaculate butter cake. In the past, it was served hot & this cake was slightly warm, which was slightly disappointing. But temperature aside, it is one of the best desserts I've ever had. I would come to Losanti for the butter cake alone.

I met friends here for drinks and appetizers. The appetizers we ordered were delicious. It was cold, but they had heaters outside which kept us all nice and cozy. The server made sure our drinks stayed fulll and she was so friendly.

Losanti is the perfect date night spot! Highly recommend grabbing a reservation before going. It is decorated very nicely, dimly lit as you would like for an intimate dinner. The service was prompt and friendly, and the server we had was very happy to help guide us with our choices. I always appreciate that. If you are drinking, they have an extensive wine list, all your classic cocktails, and even some non-alcoholic cocktail options. We ordered the shrimp scampi for our appetizer, and it was lovely. It comes with pesto bread, finely chopped shrimp, smothered in garlic butter and over a bed of arugula. Gorgeous and perfect for two to share. For our mains we opted for the truffle spaghetti and the vodka posta so we could get both red and white sauce. Both were exceptional, al dente pasta as expected. The truffle was a personal favorite, the truffle was prominent but not overpowering. We had to end with the butter cake, right? It was so good but I will say, it's very large and hard for just us two two to finish. Very rich.

Best chicken dish, rivals with Torrisi from NYC. The chicken (thigh and breast) is soo juicy. Paired with the umami mushroom that's spreaded fully across the plate - 100 points! And also had one of the best french onion soup that's a twist on using chicken jus instead of beef broth with the flake pastry on top!

Great food and service. It was confusing seeing the pricing per ounce for steaks. Foe example you can get a 12 or 14 ounce ribeye. You can't order 3 ounces. We all got the French onion soup. It was very good. Had a giant crust. Giant Meatballs were excellent. Kale caesar salad was giant. We took it home. 2 of us got ribeyes. 1 with Philly style think cheese and the other with mushrooms and grilled onions. That was mine. It was very tasty. My son felt his ribeye had too much fat. My wife got the Salmon and was very happy with it. Truffle pasta was very good. The Bolognese was nothing special. No room for dessert. 3 zombie dust beer was awesome. French 75 drink was good but 15 dollars is high. Expect steaks to be around 75 to 85 dollars.

Losanti is one of my favorite fancy dinner places. The design of the restaurant feels cozy and has lots of beautiful touches that highlight the historic building. We started with the kale Caesar and it was phenomenal. Lots of flavor and the right amount of crunch with the homemade croutons. Next we had a primi pasta course with the gnocchi. The rich sauce was to die for in those pillowy potato pieces. For the main course we went with the filet with blue cheese butter and a handful of sides. The mashed potatoes were by far my favorite- creamy and rich. Marsala mushrooms were tasty but very peppery. The Brussels sprouts were coated in a yummy sweet sauce and perfectly roasted. Unfortunately the steak was slightly over the medium rare we requested, but it was still tasty. This is a great higher end option when you are looking to treat yourself!

Butter cake & espresso martinis at Losanti is always a good idea. If I'm in the area and at least a little bit hungry, i will stop in and grab a seat at the bar for the perfect nightcap.Besides that, the steak and pasta are both always great. Never had a bad meal here. One of my go-to spots in Cincinnati!

Losanti is a great place to go for a quiet celebration. Service is excellent! The staff is always willing to give recommendations. However be prepared to spend a pretty penny. Their patio is temperature controlled so you can eat outside all year round, which is rare in Cincy. I definitely recommend getting a table by the window so you can see Washington park. It's a gorgeous view especially in Spring and Summer! Get an appetizer. This is a place you want to do it up! I love their mussels and kale Caesar salads. My favorite main course is steak and frites. It never fails to impress. The chimichurri is to die for. The frites have the perfect amount of Parmesan and they taste even better later in the night! Their food is very filling but again, if you're at Losanti, you've gotta do it big! Dessert. The butter cake is so decadent. It's sweet and dense and buttery. It pairs perfectly with ice cream and the Carmel drizzle just takes it over the top so good. 10/10 if you love sweets, order it.
