Lori's American Grille

Drove down from west Chester to grab a late lunch. I walked in and was greeted immediately by the young lady at the counter. Was told I could sit anywhere. Ordered a coffee, a Soldier burger with fries. My waiter was very friendly and helpful. The burger was one of the best I have had in the greater Cincinnati area. It was impressively good. The fries were also very good. I also enjoyed a mozzarella stick and their version of crab Rangoon. Both were very good but I would place the cheese stick above the Rangoon. I got a bread pudding to go as I was so full but wanted to try it. This is big enough for easily 2 or 3 people. I not only will be back, but I will bring friends. The place was very tidy and the bathrooms although small were clean.

Did we drive over 40 minutes to get here? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. We had heard about the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks and immediately knew we needed to make the trip to try them. And they were incredible - worth all of the hype. The sticks are pretty big and you get 3 in an order. Between two people, 3 was the perfect amount (getting to split the 3rd one). It was a bit pricy but quality was great so we didn't mind. The burgers we ordered were also fantastic. They were cooked perfectly and very juicy. The menu is so large we kept looking at what other people had ordered, but ultimately decided we just wanted to try some burgers. Will for sure be going back to try other things though (like the fish and chips or any chicken sandwich). The ambiance is nothing to write home about - it's basically a diner. But that's not why you go - you go because the food is incredible and the staff is great.

Crab Rangoon mozarella cheese sticks lived up to the hype! I stopped after a long day of shopping, driving about 30 minutes out of the way to pick-up dinner. Just for me. This would be a spot for the special occasional dinner, as I easily spent over $35 on just 3 items. However, the flavor in the honey chicken tacos and my birria were nearly just as phenomenal as those cheese sticks!

The burger was the highlight it was very good, fries were good, fish (cod) was tasty. Onion rings were overcooked and a bit greasy. Tartar sauce delicious, cole slaw not good...Service was great attentive and pleasant.

The food is as sensual as a Barry White / Brittany Spears video. Service as down home and loving as your grandmother's Sunday dinners and the ambiance is as casual as a Mayberry diner. Chris & Lori have hit it out of the park. They've started to get busy at times which would be hard for the typical country burger and sandwich spot but Lori has taken the casual and made it gourmet. You can't go wrong on this menu it's all scrumptious. They need to expand. I sat next to a guy that drove from Over the Rhine and he called his friends and family to describe what he was eating he was so impressed. Now if they just brewed beer! National!!

This place walks the line between down home country diner and gastropub and walks it well. The decor and atmosphere are authentically rural, you are in small town USA and the menu is all updated and on trend. The walls are plastered with pictures and flags paying homage to American servicemen and women and red, white & blue are the primary colors.Our server Cassie was incredibly friendly and more than willing to go over menu highlights with us. She'd tried most of the menu and was happy to share her thoughts.We started out with the fried mozzarella crab Rangoons. Yes and I know, I couldn't pass that up either. Next time I'll get the Reuben Eggrolls, they looked as good as Goeb's (for those in the know). My daughter got grilled cheese on sourdough with Pub Fries. The Pub Fries are a riff on English chips and are now some of my favorite fries. Really great to run into a non cookie cutter French fry that's this good. I highly recommend them!My wife got a burger with Cheddar, onion straws, cheddar cheese & BBQ sauce with the fries. The meat... oh the meat. A fresh blend of 5 cuts giving you everything you want out of burger meat. Seared perfectly (caramelized with no burn) and perfectly temped. I also went burger but mine had pimento cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo & red onion. The produce is top shelf and the pimento cheese was as good as any I've ever had. You know how bacon often gets lost in a busy burger? Not this bacon. It stood up and said howdy adding smokiness, crispness and saltiness to the creamy unctuous snappy cheese. Great burger! I went onion ring and they were fantastic.We were too full for dessert but I'll be damned if the fresh made sweets weren't as tempting as anyplace I've been to recently. I WILL leave room next time. (The cheesecake looked so, so, so good)Took a peek at the breakfast menu and I'm obsessed. Until I get to come here for breakfast I'll be thinking about coming here for breakfast every morning. Biscuits, sausage gravy, tater tots, chorizo and some really cool variations of French toast are on offer.I'd say move to a bigger place closer to town and partner with a micro brew and add taps and you'll make a mint but honestly I love the place just the way it is. Don't change a thing. People will talk and this will become a destination.

My sister suggested this place because she said it was great and it didn't disappoint!! My husband got the Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks appetizer and he loved it! I got the Dennis Johnson burger and my husband got the Alamo and they were both full of flavor!!!! The service was perfect!! Will definitely be back!!

Pretty good nothing special the ambiance is pretty nice, brings very strong American feel. Service would be a 4* for me nothing super special but pretty good. The guy wearing the cap is very very nice! food for me is pretty basic but decent Only complaint was frozen chicken tenders.

Service was decent- we went somewhat later at night so wasn't too busy. Was pretty much a hole in the wall type of place with pictures of vets and other American memorabilia. Food was just okay. Portion sizes are very generous but everything was pretty bland- chicken sandwich had chicken tenders on it instead of a breaded breast- not sure if they ran out and threw it together like that or not. Seemed kind of odd. Prices are also a lil steep for the flavors you actually get. I figured for $14-16 a sandwich it would have blown me away.

The food was incredible, we got the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks & two burgers. The cole slaw was super good as well. we will be back!
