Tried Lock 27 tonight. YUM I coerced R to try the fried cauliflower...and he liked it! He wanted more I had the Beet Salad with the most amazing garlicky Parmesan dressing I've ever had in my life. We definitely recommend!

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon. I was flying solo and getting this year's Dayton Ale Trail stamp. Weather was nice so patio sitting was great. Even being right by the parking lot it was still peaceful. Got the taco Tuesday special, 4 tacos for $12. They are small tacos but still a decent deal. You have 3 choices. I chose 2 each of beef brisket and a chicken. Sampled their sour ( it's not that sour) and had a Hanks which is a nice light lager. It wasn't busy and I got great service. A disclaimer is that I've seen this place super busy and it isn't always this pleasant and laid back. Come before it gets busy is my advice.

Lock 27 is an intimate brewpub. The inside boasts an L shaped bar, two high top tables for larger groups near the front, picnic tables along the side, and a handful of four person tables in the middle. We stopped by for a drink and sat at the bar. There are two TV's on either side. The beer list is respectable with around 10-12 beers on draft, 8-9 of which are their own brews. I tried the 'Mouthbreather' IPA and my SO got the 'Wolk' Belgian Wit, both of which are their flagship beers. Both were pretty good, but neither of us were compelled to have a second. We didn't try the food, but they do have a full menu. However, looking at the food prices had me hoping it tastes pretty darn good with generous portion sizes.

Love stopping in here! The girls and I stopped in for dinner. Love to see the place busy snd people enjoying this great place. We started with pretzel bites and graduated to wings (a personal favorite), fish and chips (one of Zoey's favorites) and brewers Mac and cheese (a family fave, but a great meal for Shidela this time). I got one of my very favorite brews, Always Sunny in Dayton. Always fresh and bright! Loved yet another great meal and experience!

Cool place with tasty beers. Love the smoked wings best in Dayton. Rotating taps the beer menu fresh and always has the perennial davorites

Had a great time here. The weekly special (27 Patty Melt) that my friend ordered looked great. The mac and cheese dish with chicken was delicious! I definitely recommend ordering the fries to be tossed in the dry rub used for the wings. The sage pesto dipping sauce was so yummy for the fries. As for beer, we had the Fruit Hole sour ale, which I loved! Gabby, our bartender, was amazing!!

I've been going to Lock27 since the day they opened. Just not impressed anymore. We always do the Dayton Beer book and visit each brewery every year. This year, 2025, Lock27 is not in the book for the first time - cheap. They also charge a fee now to use a credit card - cheap. We got fries and beers today and they were good, but I I'm not sure we will be back.

Wanted some wings and was tempted to try the poutine. The poutine was pure salt and when asked for a different batch, again was brought the same salt plate with a side of fries. Poutine was nearly $20 for pure plate of salt!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!

The Fish & Chips were $17. There was excessive amount of breading on the fish, I'd say about a quarter of an inch. The slaw was coarse cut and dressed very lightly. A draft of craft beer was $6.50. Taylor C. was helpful.
