We eat at Local Cantina pretty frequently because it's close to our home. Their chimichangas are amazing. My husband and our kids usually get a burrito or fajitas. We also enjoy their cocktails, which are really yummy. My favorite is the Colada Rita. My husband always enjoys their beer.

Enjoyed an evening of drinks and tacos. Tacos are tiny so definitely order a few and take advantage of being able to try out lots of flavors! Margaritas are good, if not a little on the weak side. Still a great outdoor spot to go to before dragons games.

We came here for happy hour after work. Love the open air feel and the hip, colorful atmosphere!! We had friendly and fast service. We only had drinks with chips and salsa but I will definitely be back for tacos!!!

It makes me sad to change my 5 to a 2 but after yesterday's experience, I must. I really enjoy the food and experience at local cantina but my last visit left a bad taste unfortunately. Price transparency is important. From the menu I ordered the mustache ride ($8) sub mezcal ($2) and a splash of strawberry. The margarita was good but super tiny. My friends blood orange was cheaper and double the size of mine. When I received the bill the margarita was $14. The server said the extra $4 was due to adding strawberry flavor, which $4 for just that is insanity. The server said she would get it taken care of with the manager. I handed her my card (mistakenly). And they only gave 10% off my bill which was $3 and some change. Which is super frustrating, no where on the menu did it say flavor was $4 extra.

I was excited to try Dayton's Local Cantina this weekend. I've been to the Columbus location several times and have always enjoyed it. Local Cantina is an interesting menu of "Mexican inspired" cuisine with a fun Americanized twist. This location has a fun, more upper scale feel to it with a beautiful bar area. When you come in, there's a Chips and Salsa bar where you help yourself for free. We started with this along with a delicious margarita. The bar staff were very friendly and able to help us decide on our entree's. For dinner, I had the Chicken Chimichanga. It's definitely not your average burrito that's been thrown in a fryer. The chicken, beans and other ingredients have been seasoned well and then topped with a queso and chimichurri sauce. Although it's really good, I'm not a huge fan of the queso but it works with the other spices within the dish. Overall, I'm a fan of Local Cantina and definitely recommend them.

I've seen this place multiple times but I finally made it in last night. It's a great space. There really isn't anything else like it downtown so they have that advantage right out of the gate. They have the "Chueys" chips and salsa station which always seems like a great idea until you see how people use that thing. It's kind of gross to think about. They have scoop holders but half the time, people toss it into the chips and walk away. Oh well. I was more than ready for a margarita. We got a pitcher of the Mustache Ride. The shocking parts were the price and the size. It was $40 and a tiny pitcher. That's for well tequila. They tasted good but those two things made them (or me) a little bitter. The menu reminded me a little of Agave and Rye. They had a list of funky taco options. Some pretty creative. I opted for the birria and the Nashville Hot, wheezy style. That is a soft shell within a hard shell with guacamole and queso. I struggled getting flavor out of either one. I think the wheezy style was just too much for that taco. It already had slaw and pickles on it and to add guacamole and queso, I couldn't taste a hint of Nashville at all. My birria taco was a little dry and light on flavor. It was a little disappointing. The service was decent and the place looked clean. I would try the again if I was in that area but wouldn't make a special trip. It was just ok.

Yum! No matter what I order, it's always amazing. The only downside is that they can be a little slow during lunch, so plan accordingly.

Though this location always seems understaffed resulting in long waits for a beverage, the excellent service provided by Jenny Craig and her trainee makes up for one's dehydration. Jenny Craig rocks! If it wasn't for JENNY CRAIG, this review would be 3 stars.

Incredible food! Literally still day dreaming about it. Fruit flies were a problem and we were seated at a very tiny table near the door although we had made a reservation. Server was sweet, did go missing for a bit when we needed drinks. But overall will be going back!
