I kept hearing great things about Lisse. Finally went for our anniversary dinner and it lived up to, even exceeded expectations. We had impeccable service from the general manager Emily. Inside is beautiful and spacious but broken up into rooms so it feels more intimate. We opted to sit on the rooftop to enjoy the views. Every dish we had was top notch, from the apps to the mains to the desserts. Would definitely return and recommend.

Went to Lisse for a work function on a Thursday night. It was a nice night so we were sat on the top floor, outdoor patio. There is plenty of shade with the umbrellas. It had a fabulous view of Cincinnati. We had a wonderful server, Nichole with an H. She told us the story about the owners having a farm. She was very attentive and kept our drinks refilled. Some of the guys in our party were little obnoxious and she handled it very well.I ordered the Dutch Filet. It was a 6 ounce Filet and was cooked exactly how I ordered it. I would say this is probably in the top three steaks I've ever had. It's set on a bed of Hutsput. Which is mashed potatoes, carrots, and onions all mashed together. Was very good but I added a little salt. For dessert I had the lemon sponge cake which was Holland Farms Blackberry & Lemon Mousse, Vanilla Whipped Cream, Oat Ginger Crumble. Very sweet I couldn't finish it, but it was delicious.

We were disappointed. $72 steak was unevenly cooked and I couldn't finish due to the quality. (Never in my life has this farm boy not finished a steak). We ordered green beans that were barely cooked and tough. The waiter barely acknowledged the issue and just offered to take off our bill versus make it right. Soup course was fine. Shrimp was ok. Service not on par for the prices being charged, we didn't order for over 30 mins after arriving. Won't be back. Disappointed I took my wife here for her bday, which was communicated via OpenTable yet not acknowledged by staff. Again, go dine at the competition and you will have a much better experience. I would have taken Texas Roadhouse over this! But seriously, Tony's steakhouse, The Lonely Pine, or any Jeff Ruby steakhouse will blow your mind compared to this place, don't waste your time and $.

True Score- 4.56/5 StarsThis experience was honestly incredible. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the facilities were great. Interestingly, this is apace where you can either spend a lot of money, or even stay under 100 and have a fantastic meal.We started the evening with the Bitterballen, and honestly, the dish was extremely disappointing. The balls were very small, and for 10 dollars, you only get 5 of them They tasted great enough, but I would strongly advise against ordering them unless they up the quantity. With that, we also each had a Kentucky Sunset, which was a great cocktail. We each ordered the ribeye, and it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever had. We ordered two sides, the hotsput and the Dutch Mac and Cheese. Both were so good, and also served in sharable portions. The hotsput was nothing like anything I have ever had (in a good way) and the Mac and cheese was very creamy but not liquid-y. We finished the night with an order of the boterkoek, which was sweet and delicious.Service was extraordinary. Our server was so personable, easy going, and timely. I believe service can make or break an experience, and frankly every restaurant should aspire to be like Lisse in this regard. I believe John F(?) was our server, and he was great!Cost was great. Many dishes are pretty cheap, however you can also go pretty big here. For everything we got, it was roughly 250 dollars, but you could easily come here and spend under 100 for two people. Very versatile financially which I think is AWESOME!The restaurant had beautiful design inside and out. It felt very clean, modern, and upscale. Pretty casual dress code, and overall a comfortable place. My favorite part was the stained glass on the first floor! I believe there is rooftop seating, but I did not get to go up there.Overall, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The appetizer was the only flaw on this beautiful restaurant. I would love love love to come back, and I will be suggesting it to anybody that I know.NOTE: Star rating based on my own formula consisting of flavor, cost, facilities, service, and overall satisfaction. Had a Christmas work party here and All our steaks where cooked the same as medium rare, this was more than just rare. My coworker took this picture and I saved it just so I could post it. I understand making 50 steaks at the same time could be a difficult task but for the price it should be better. Was also a lot more fatty than other strips I've had. Everything was great

Lisse has been one of Main Strauss's largest and best restaurants for a few years now. A true "steakheisse" it features excellent meat cuts. The service is knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall the space is a little sparse on the first floor but during warmer weather months their rooftop and upper floors are wonderful.

We dined here midweek and the restaurant was pretty empty but we had a great experience! My husband and I ordered the bitterballen, Caesar salad, fried rice, steak cut of the day with chimichurri, and fries, all to share and our server asked the kitchen to split the dishes for us into individual plates, which we really appreciated. I spent a year in Amsterdam so my main motivation for going was the bitterballen and they did not disappoint! All of the food was delicious but the steak was one of the best I have ever eaten, perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium rare.

Fantastic service. It was our first time dining here with a small group we all ordered entrees and some sides. Our waiter even recommended ordering less sides and, thank goodness he did. Food was delicious and steak cooked correctly. The drink menu was fun! Try the PBJ Martini

Fantastic service and amazing food. I enjoyed a filet and I would put that steak up against any steak in the area, Walt's , Ruby's , Tony's any of them!

Our family had dinner Friday, December 27, 2024. The food is just okay. We shared two appetizers, Bitterballen and Kassoufle. Neither one was very good.We all had filet's which were just okay. My husband had a crab cake -minus the crab. It was more like dough ball. For the price I would definitely choose another restaurant. The only positive was our server was good.
