Latin Arepas Tropical Street Food

Are you looking for a vacation get away in the middle of winter? This place is your ticket to a island vacation! Super cute and fun decor, with an outdoor area that hosts live music during the warmer months. The staff is really friendly and kind and their service is attentive. Food is cooked to order, so relax and enjoy the the atmosphere with an island cocktail or two. Take out is also available with some great vegetarian options! Loved my Arepa in the Pabellon style with rice, black beans, fried plantains, shredded beef and white cheese! Also tried the Arepa veggie "D" with beans, plantains, cheese and veggies and it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu! Heads up, you will order and pay at the front counter.

We ordered empanadas but got arepas. The cashiers didn't seem to know much about the food at the restaurant, so that may have played into it.The servers were friendly. We didn't get enough silverware. Even after we asked for more.The sauce bottles were a little dirty.The prices were high for what you get. If the food had been good instead of generic that wouldn't have been a problem. Overall, wouldn't discourage you from trying it, but don't expect much.

It was my first time in and the food and atmosphere were amazing. Latin music playing, tropical vibe, friendly staff and especially the owner / host. When January and February hits, I plan to be a regular.Can't wait for a Latin dance night.Valentines Day?!

I liked the food and the owner was delightful but I'm sad to say this place isn't going to make it unless they make some real changes in how they run the place and the hours they are open. you order at the counter but the owner asked 20 questions about what you want ... while theres a growing line. He's very friendly and chatty which is charming. But when you have limited time not so charming. It takes forever. Unfortunately we aren't on island time or vacation .... most need to get the order in so they actually have time to eat it. The owner is very genuine and nice ... I am not saying this to be mean. I truly want this place to stay open so I hope there are some changes. I know they have worked hard to get this going .. from food truck to restaurant during a pandemic. I know staffing is an issue everywhere and it's a huge problem. but they keep changing the hours and days they are open ... right now they aren't open very much. Not long enough to keep the place going. We have went there several times and had to go elsewhere because there was a line and that line wasn't moving fast enough ... or to find they weren't open again. The last time we tried to go there ... my husband literally said we can try if they are still in business. I want them to make it .. but they will have to figure out a faster better way and be open more .... and stop changing their schedule. maybe let people order and stop asking questions .. answer a question if someone asks. Or have a way people can call ahead and order ... getting the food without waiting in line.

The atmosphere in this location is great. I'm glad the owners opening more hours however, I'm not a fan of ordering and tipping before I get my food and that's how this location is. I'm also not a fan of tipping and having to do the work that I tipped for such as removing my plates, and so forth so I ordered the yucca fries five out of five, the empanadas, 4.9/5 the special with the rice, plantain and chicken. I'll give the chicken flavor out of this world. Rice was a bit bland in my opinion. My wife ordered the Arepa and my brother-in-law ordered the vegetarian one they loved it. The Mojito was amazing and the sauce that comes with the yucca fries and the empanada is amazing I would return.

¡Qué Rico! Been eating their food for years, and it never disappoints. They just moved locations to Springboro from Dayton. Abraham and Gabby are so friendly and welcoming. Each meal is fresh and authentic. Dining is an experience, and Latin Arepas captures that feel. Who needs to rush when you're face-to-face with great food and even better company? ¡Buen provecho!

We loved our arepas and enjoyed learning about the menu from Abraham, the owner. The weather was perfect so we ate in the outdoor patio area. Carroll was friendly and helpful and kept the sodas coming. We went back again 3 days later to try a few other items. Everything was tasty but nothing beat the original shredded beef arepa. Ingredients are fresh and everything was flavorful. We'll be back again.

Great food. Love that it's something different. I appreciate the intimate feel and the owner always seems friendly.

Fantastic food and drinks! The reason for only 3 stars is the method of service: line up to order while someone else takes the last table in their tiny dinning area. This could work better somewhere other than Springboro, with all their petty douchebags mucking about.
