I am very disappointed in this bowling alley. I booked a party for 35 people 2 months in advance. I had family members who came from 3 hours away to come to the party. We showed up on the day of the party only to be told at the door they canceled our party without letting me know. They booked a kids bowling tournament (apparently after I booked my party) and said we could not bowl. No response or apology was given for ruining our family event. This was my grandpa's 100th birthday celebration. Do not book a party at Laru Bowling Lanes.

We went to this place for the first time yesterday. Very cute place! It was very clean and smelled good because there is no smoking. We met the new owners and are very nice people. They are upgrading the facility and it shows. Good prices and a lot of fun. Would definitely return!

The lanes and bar area are nice but that's about it. The older man running the place was extremely grouchy. He kept griping at people for various reasons. Put on your bowling shoes before you leave the carpeted area, only one person on the wood when you're bowling, stay away from others tables. It felt like you were being watched the entire time and unable to have a good time. If you want your kids to learn to bowl, I'd go elsewhere. This alley prefers to keep the lanes filled with adults. Not tolerant of energy or kids at all. They don't have any real food. Vending machines $1.75 for a bottle of soda and chips/candy for $1.00. They have tortilla chips with cheese too. Our ball got stuck on both our lanes several times. The lane next to us had a pin get lodged & the family had to switch lanes in the middle of their game. They do allow smoking so beware. The man smoking at the bar area stunk up the entire place. Thankfully we had finished our game shortly after he came in. Also, their ceiling is disgusting. Between the smoke & the molded ceiling, if you have kids, asthma or just care about your health, this place isn't for you. There's much nicer and friendlier bowling allies to spend your money and not be watched if you have children.

Very clean and love that it's non smoking. Had our 8 year olds birthday party there and it was so much fun for the kids. Very reasonable also. Newly renovated bar is awesome! TVs everywhere if you prefer to watch a game. Ice cold beer on tap or full bar if you want something else. Owners are super friendly. Great place for a kids party or a night out with adults!

Tagged along with a buddy on law school bowling night, which is on Thursday evenings, and I loved it. It is a small, old fashioned bowling alley, similar to what TV audiences saw on Ed or the Flintstones. What really made this place stand out was the beer. For a little over 2.50 you are handed a plastic cup the size of a milk jug. I suggest the Miller Lite, not because of the taste (or lack there of) but because the tap is a bowling pin and only adds to the experience. This is Kentucky and this is a bowling alley so that means there will be smoking, however, it wasn't a smoke den.Cannot wait to go back to perfect my Fred Flintstone twinkle toes bowling move.

The staff was an elderly woman and man. They were not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. We were the only people there so we thought they would have at least been nice. I had an autistic child with me. When I asked if she could please allow us to use bumpers on our lane, she rudely looked me up and down and asked who the bumpers would be for. I politely explained that my cousin has autism and we came to bowl because he loved it. She was so hesitant to give us bumpers and she didn't want to let me use them! The Bowling shoes were also falling apart. My other cousin was looking for a size 8 ball and the elderly woman would not help her at all.
