Lakeview Restaurant

I love to bring friends visiting from out of town to Lakeview. The patio is bright and inviting all year, and the menu has such a great variety. But my favorite part of surprising them at the end with the shareable brownie. Always brings smiles, joy and a sigh with your eyes closed it's so good....

First time visiting. Staff were accommodating and nice. Good sized food portions. The food was good. However It was nothing to be excited about. A one and done visit for me. I would say the only highlight would be feeding the fish. For a couple of quarters, you get less than a handful of fish food. Toss it in and see the large fish gather and fight for food. Stop in and see for yourself. Enjoy!

Location: Cambridge City, INI absolutely love this restaurant.Barely off I-70, it's worth the detour for breakfast or lunch.Open for dinner a few days a week... best sandwiches and fried sides anywhere.I have worked my way through most of the sandwiches, a few salads, and one or two of their entrees. Everything has been really good.Try the Lakeview burger if you dare - jalapeño's, peanut butter, and bacon works really well.

Been driving pass this place for a long time and just never gave it a chance. My go to breakfast spot just happened to be closed last Wednesday so I ended up here. What a happy accident. This place is awesome. First off it might be one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in. Everything was so shiny and bright. The service was fantastic as well as the food. My waitress is super nice and also gave me a menu to take home because I was inquiring about their dinner hours. They have an awesome patio out back that's right on a small lake and it also has a 21 and over bar section back there. After a fantastic experience at breakfast I am looking forward to coming back soon to try their dinner.

I am so glad I recently discovered this place! It's situated on the edge of a big lake. In warm weather its amazing because they have a beautiful outdoor bar and patio and you sit right on the water. The food is incredible and the pricing is very good. I have tried a lot of different items and have never had a bad meal. They also have live music on occasion. It's a great neighborhood restaurant/bar worth checking out. They also have a place down the street called Number ( Grill. It's also amazing.

I know the chicken was bad-after 2x trying to get it done correctly-I don't ask for another one after that-the mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and my wings were done perfectly-good vibes in the whole place-the service was good-nice to look out and see the geese in the water

Excellent food and the dining area is very clean. Had the three piece chicken dinner which allows you to pick three of the pieces served and extra breast at no extra charge. Mac and cheese and green beans as sides were also with the meal and very good. My wife had the 8 ounce sirloin and stated it was very good. I ordered a plater of waffle fries with cheese bacon and onions. Let me tell you it was a meal in its self. Staff was friendly but seemed over whelmed and it took a very long time to get our check and still waiting for her to pick it up. Honestly I was in no hurry and the staff made sure to check in and let me know they had not forgotten me. No harm, no foul.

Great fried chicken and loved I could choose what pieces I wanted, I never had a choice before except white or dark meat. Love the mashed potatoes and gravy, this is the Sunday meal I grew up with.My waitress was great, friendly but not overbearing.

I have not eaten here since I was a kid, and I knew they had closed and reopened at some point over the years. I came to eat here one evening with a friend, and they did not disappoint. We had Shrimp Scampi as an appetizer, and it was good. I was trying to save room for my meal. I ordered the Patty Melt Sandwich and Onion Rings and Coke Zero. All of it was delicious. They had a big crowd that evening, so they did not disappoint anyone. The service was great, and the waitress was very nice. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I would probably stop by here again.

If you are looking for a great atmosphere with good homestyle meals, this is the place. The service was excellent, we sat outside by the lake and watched the fish and turtles while we waited for our meals. I had the Walleye meal and it was great. The fish was not overcooked or overly greasy. The other meal was the county fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Everything was great. Definitely earned a repeat visit, I need to try the homemade pies next time!
