La Michoacana Mexican Market & Restaurant

I swear you will not find better people anywhere! So hospitable and kind. Very well stocked grocery and incredibly clean. Above all I cannot say how great the people that work there are. I wish every business had employees that showed they cared as much as these folks do.

As you can see, from the name of this place is a combination of both a Market and a restaurant. The restaurant portion is rather small, holding about a dozen tables that seat 4 each. The menu is absolutely enormous. Just the torta section makes my mouth water. I did not order it today because I wasn't very hungry but I'm sure one sandwich was so packed it would feed me for an entire day. I did order the papas con chorizo which was terrific. Very good value and fresh. The corn tortillas served on the side were so good I could make a meal out of them. Service was attentive and helpful. No frills or fake props.

I like this store. They have a lot of fresh food items, a good meat counter, and a restaurant I have not tried yet. The store is clean and inviting. The employees are kind and helpful. I wish they had more items from Peru and Colombia. I also wish they carried more Kinder Sorpresa and Milka chocolates.

Walked in and the waitress as eating with someone. She said "what do you want?" It's a restaurant lady, what do you think I want? I sat at a table for a while, got ignored, and then got up and left.

I originally gave you five stars because your food is so so delicious but I changed the review for now to less stars because every time I have come in, the food has been cold and I've had to get the entire meal to go, only eating chips and salsa and my drink, so I can reheat it in the microwave... I moved here a few months ago from the west coast and require authentic Mexican food, not Americanized stuff, and you guys are amazing at keeping it authentic and truly delicious, but I'm so sad that I can't get my food hot (beans were ice cold and the chilaquiles were tepid at best both times I came in). My waitress the first time I came in was nice, but the last waitress was very dismissive and I didn't feel comfortable asking for them to make the food warm- she clearly wanted us to leave when she dropped off the food. I won't be back for a while, I plan on checking out another authentic place a bit further south.Hopefully next time I come in the food will be warm or even better, hot please. If so I will change my review to the five stars I believe this place is capable of. If not I will change it to one star and never come back.UPDATE Thank you, the past several times the food was warm and wonderful!

Gets my order wrong everytime i go, and i even say it in Spanish. Also my Hispanic in laws say they mess up their orders a lot to..

Great place to eat! Located in a Hispanic grocery store, you may miss it if you didn't know it was there. I love the torta (Mexican sandwich) and my daughter gets Gordita. On weekends they often have specials on stews and shrimp dishes.

Best food in the restaurant! Thr grocery store is super clean and extremely well stocked. Excellent service

Went to wash my hands before ordering, the restrooms are so filthy that it caused me to doubt the cleanliness of the kitchen. Seriously how can any employee over look that? I left as a result.
