A little strange to have a beautiful restaurant in the back of a Hispanic supermarket but it's truly a beautiful atmosphere. My friend and I met for lunch and were immediately greeted by a very friendly server who sat us and brought chips and salsa. They were your pretty standard chips with salsa, little boring but alright. We ordered the Chorizo queso as an appetizer. Unfortunately my pic didn't turn out but it was very thin for queso. It tasted great but was definitely thin. It struck me during ordering that while this is a cool restaurant it's definitely not authentic. I had the Fajita Chimichanga. I didn't see on the menu that it was covered in a queso. It was tasty and yes I know chimichangas aren't authentic but there didn't seem to be many truly authentic dishes on the menu. Overall, lunch was great and I'd definitely return and recommend, just wish they would've had some truly authentic Mexican dishes on the menu.

My wife, our son, his girlfriend and I came here for lunch today. We had heard that it was one of the most authentic hispanic restaurant / grocery store in town, so we had to check it out. It was awesome... They had great service, fantastic authentic dishes and great music! Five stars all day long! We can't wait to go back!

This restaurant is inside the La Guadalupana supermarket. I loved this place. Looks like the owner/management changed and shifted from mom and pop Mexican food to something wanting to be more mainstream. In doing this the look of the restaurant is better. The food prices have increased tremendously and the quality isn't what it once was. This is really sad. Ordered la pastor torta and carna asada tacos as well as chips and salsa. The salsas are available to the customer as a self help. The flavors also are not what they once were, little more bland and sweet The green chili salsa was the best by far, as it tasted fresh with enough spice to make me smile. The asada tacos were more than what I expected and I would come back for these. The torta was ok. I had different expectations of flavor for before so I was a little disappointed.

Store is very clean. Employees were very nice. But it needs better selection on Mexican sweet bread

Sadly, they are way overpriced for the food. There's only a few Mexican markets in the area and this is one of the biggest ones. Their meet is super pricey and so is everything else. Many of the things they offer you can find at Kroger. I drove really far to buy from here and when I saw a charge on my receipt that I didn't recognize they wouldn't rectify it for me. The lady lied and said she didn't know how to fix it. I only have them a star because they have a brand of tortillas I like but that's it. Never coming back to this market.

The torta we had was made well but at 14.99 it's highway robbery. Three tacos were priced at 13.99. I was in the restaurant industry for 18 years and understand the cost of doing business and post-COVID inflation but these prices are absurd.

La Guadalupana restaurant is a hidden gem in Riverside tucked inside the supermarket of the same name. Unless you're paying attention, you'll go right by this place and not even know it's there. Such a shame as the food here is great.I came here the other day for lunch with some people from work. We started with some chips and salsa that were some of the best I've had in the area. I ordered the Caldo de Pollo, which was a delicious soup with a full chicken breast and fresh vegetables in a hearty broth. I'd heard the tacos here were good too so I also ordered a single carnitas taco that hit the spot. I'd suggest ordering at least three tacos because they're small. Mix it up and try different fillings that include, carnitas, lengua, pastor, pollo, and a few others. Make sure to hit up the salsa bar too to add a little more flavor to your meal.

This may not seem like a place to grab a few tacos but don't judge a book by its cover. Inside is a small Mexican restaurant with handmade tortillas and tacos made to order. These might be the best tacos in the Dayton area or at least the most authentic Mexican restaurant rivaling Tres Hermanos or Taqueria Mixteca. Great lunch spot!!
