La Embajada

Right behind my table, there was a sign saying that if you didn't like empanadas, you needed your head examined. If you don't like the empanadas here that's certainly true. They're tiny, maybe three fingers put together, but packed with flavor. I got taconada, chorizo, and turkey. The turkey was basically a Thanksgiving empanada, with cranberries and stuffing. With it being a week away, how could I not? They have 23 different empanadas - I didn't count, the little old lady who owns the place said that; and added that she knew of restaurants back home that had twice as many. They'll make one out of anything that walks, flies, or swims, she said. As good as the food was, she was just adorable. I don't know if she even reads yelp but that's five-star service right there!

Authentic Argentinian food in the area for two years. We are so happy we found this little gem located in a strip mall on the corner. It was around 5 pm when we stopped in and there was one other party there. It did get a little busy while we were eating but the noise level remained low despite the smaller size. The service was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. They serve beer and wine and have an extensive menu as well. We both had empanadas and there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. We were served our food by the owner herself who was thoughtful, helpful, and full of energy. It was our anniversary so we had dessert (churro and a chocolate empanada). Dessert was just the right size and superb as well. Highly recommend and tell your friends too! We will return the next time we are in the area!

Despite a hickup with the order this place is a gem! The owner made it right and the food was delicious. Perfect date night spot off the beaten path. The atmosphere is soft and intimate and the service is excellent. The empanadas are incredible, the sauce is to die for!!! Gotta try this place you'll be hooked!

The feel of this place is fun and the owners are very energetic. They didn't have their soul as it was taken off unless it's winter. I was disappointed by this because I love their corn soup. They now have the empanadas as a single price each instead of the three for one price. They were a bit more greasy than I remember from the last time. That is all we tried this time.

We could not have asked for a nicer dining experience. Another one of the gems found through Yelp!Wonderful food choices (we came for the empanadas, and stayed for the meal!), awesome, friendly service, and a quiet, peaceful environment. Love that we could easily have a conversation. And love that the owner visited with us to make sure that we had a good time. Wonderful story. We will be happy to come back many times!

Hooray, they are no longer "underground" and have a beautiful place! We came here after an afternoon movie at Cinepolis. As a hearing impaired person, I appreciate the investment in sound tiles and beautiful & relaxing piano music (played by owner Monica's husband ) so we could hear our conversation and our terrific server, Diana. Oh, and the foooooood! We split the steak sampler among 4 of us, plus several empanadas and couple other appetizers. Everything was wonderful! The steak was cooked to medium, still very good though next time I'll remember to ask for it more rare. I've been searching for a good chimichuri sauce (granted, not many choices in Dayton) since we moved from TX and found it here!Both Monica and Diana were super friendly and food came out quickly. Homemade ice cream, a banana/Nutella empanada, and churros topped off a great experience. Can't wait to go back!

Ooo meee ooo miii, we are so thankful we found La Embajada, incredible Argentinian food. Yuca, strip loin steak, beer short ribs (flanked style), Argentinian chorizo, and yes of course they have Empanadas (sooo good). This is one visit that you have to put on your wish list if you reside or are visiting the Dayton area. It sits in a tiny (yet newer) strip mall, so it can be easy to overlook and pass up on, but you'd be making a big mistake. Seriously you'll love this more than the Roosters that is always packed and a block away. La Embajada should always be packed, because there is nothing else like it in Dayton and they deliver with extraordinary taste, friendly service and a great establishment.,You'll come in to a beautiful and quaint decor that just breathes relaxing. They even have some games you can take to your table and play and some cute artisan products to purchase. They have a decent beer list and coffee or espresso. But back to these Empanadas, you can get three for 12.99 and you can choose from about 15 different varieties and let me tell you, WOW, are they good. The empanadas are packed with taste and 3 is enough for sure as a meal if you also choose to get an appetizer (you'll be fine). Plus a bonus you can buy them frozen and take them home to cook there, isn't that great? Come give La Embajada a try it is worth every bite and every smile each bite produces. This is one location in Dayton, I'd love to see thrive and grow in our beautiful Gem City!! Well done Embajada.

Delicious food with friendly service made me feel at home. It was so welcoming, as if I were having a home-cooked meal with family. The ambiance was also lovely, featuring an elegant interior.

Man, this is a little part o Buenos Aires back in Ohio.. The Ambassador Steck with fries and salad is a good choice..Also try the churro.. It's freaking delicious

Made Valentines Day reservations and every aspect was phenomenal. Our drinks, appetizers, and main course were fantastic. We enjoyed a dessert to complete the experience. Smaller staffing made a more intimate experience and we discussed several times throughout our visit the best time to come back to sample more of their goodness.
