Went here for a lunch special. Was quickly sat down and noticed many movies references . I ordered the most popular "how fun noodles" and a hot and sour soup.Soup came out first. Definitely not your tradition hot n sour soup. They added a bit of chili oil and made it a bit sweeter and it wasn't nearly as sour as I'd expect from other Chinese restaurants. The beef chow fun noodles were very oily and also drenched in chili oil. 3/10 spice is a good mild-medium level of spice. The beef came out as little strips and were a little chewy. The noodle textures were inconsistent, parts were hard and dry others were soft and stacked up in chunks. If you're looking for traditional Chinese dishes this is not the place for you. But if your looking for a fusion of American and Asian cooking then this place might be your groove. You also should be a huge fan of chili oil which I am not. Overall, I'm sure there are better Asian restaurants in Cincinnati, but kung food does deliver in taste it's just not taste that suits my palate.

I came here about 2 years ago and chose to stop here again on the way back home from the airport. I will say I feel like my experience 2 years ago was different food wise. I remembered the how fun noodles being much more saucey but this time around they were very dry. The Szechuan chicken was the same tho. Very yummy and cooked very well with all the veggies. I love how spicy their spice scale actually is so beware but it adds such great flavor to the dish. They also allow you to just be safe with your spice level and get something low but bring the spicier level sauce for you on the side which I think is great. Our server was great. He was very patient and explained most of the menu to us and helped with any questions that we had. The inside is very cool it reminds me of a restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown. But I would definitely recommend checking this spot out if you're in that area as it is a great vibe and also still some yummy food.

Update: ordered the orange chicken (level 3) and Mongolian beef (level 3). The orange chicken, to me, tasted pretty identical to the general's chicken. The Mongolian beef is absolutely amazing. I would both order it again and recommend it to anyone.more like a 3.5 but i rounded up.Ordered: crab Rangoon & general's chicken (level 2) with lo meinRangoons were good. I asked abt the spice levels and was told that if it had a shoe pic next to it that it was already spicy so if you were worried abt spice, to knock it down a notch bc it was already coming spicy. So I got a 2 - and it was actually pretty sweet. Which ended up being okay bc the main lo mein seasoning was sriracha. mixed them together and it was good. Generals comes with cucumber mixed in - not mentioned on the menu - just good to know, i liked it but i know they can be divisive. overall i want to come back, but wasnt overly wowed but it was for sure good!lastly, they had a movie on that actually looked very good, going to watch it when i get home :) thanks to the server for getting me the name!

Spicy but tasty. This restaurant offers a great experience with an amazing atmosphere! The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive! The food does have a spice levels that you can tailor per order! They do it by a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the spiciest! Will definitely return but lower the spice levels on my order haha!

TERRIBLE!!!There were a ton of great reviews so I gave it a try and ordered through Uber Eats. I ordered the popular Sesame Chicken. It came out a more vibrant red than other photos which makes me wonder if that had something to do with the disgustingly sweet taste. One might think it looks like zucchini in the photos but it turned out to be cucumber salad which is really odd. I ordered a 3 on the spiciness and it didn't have any spice. I could only manage a couple bites before I ended up throwing it out. Overall, I would avoid this place.

had driven/walked by so many times I finally was able to try and order a few takeout entrees on a Monday night. Couldn't believe how busy it was but they have a great takeout/delivery order fulfillment system to keep a great ambiance in the dining room. I got the How-Fun Noodles with Beef and it was so flavorful and filling. Definitely will be back!

Pretty good food but small portions for the price. The spice level option is a nice touch. I love spicy so I got the level 5 to see the deal and it was good. Not too spicy but enough to tell that the higher levels are probably legit hot. I'd go back for the heat!

Kung Food Chu's has had a real glow up over the last few years- it may have been longer but living in California I don't get to visit as often as I'd like. It's still a super popular spot, but now it has a lot more seating than I remember. They also have a waitlist that you can get on that helps when you visit at their more busy times. You really can't go wrong with any of their food. The Big Bertha Egg Roll and really any of their dumplings and potstickers are a must. So tasty. The Generals Chicken and Chow Fun are also some of my favorite items to order.I would suggest going or getting takeout with friends and ordering a bunch of items to enjoy family style. It's the best way to find your favorites and get a little bit of everything.

I ordered this place takeout . The sesame chicken is fantastic . I also ordered the cream cheese Rangoon - I didn't love them as much . I thought the lo mein noodles were alright . The egg rolls are great ! I would order this place again for sure - nice flavor , fast service , - But I'll try another dish , perhaps with rice ! Give them a try for takeout for sure . Beware though - they are very pricey for small portion ,

Love the food. Great carry out or dine in. Beer is all specialty micro brew and pricey but good selection. Love the Pad Thai number 6 which has my head sweating. I like hot food. 7 has ghost pepper and is insane. Wife loves the orange or sweet & sour chicken with no heat.Veggies / food is always much fresher / yummier than other Chinese.Service has always been good.Love the old karate movies they play in the background and art/walls are hip.
