This is a fun spot to check out revolving sushi with a really nice atmosphere. At $3.25 per plate, it is pricy for sushi. Each plate has about 3 pieces so it is very easy to rack up a bill. I would recommend planning accordingly or ordering a custom made dish off of the tablet as these come in bigger portions. They have a lot of traditional decoré and play Japanese pop music. The servers wear formal uniforms and they even have one of the newer robot servers driving around to bring drinks. The service is very quick from order to delivery. Its cool to see your food arrive on one of the several trains running above the conveyor belts.I do wish that Kawa had and all you can eat option (like Sakura Revolving Sushi) so that I could try more of their dishes. Im usually sad when I see the bill versus what I've had. But you are more paying for the experience than anything. And Im cheap!

My new favorite sushi restaurant. I love going right before the dinner rush and getting a seat and eating right away.I always from the menu for the tonkotsu pork ramen -delicious, and yellow tail sashimi-amazing. Ordering the sashimi from the display menu is a great way to get exactly what you want without all the rice. My husband loves the eel, uni and scallops. Sometimes those are not available unfortunately. Staff is attentive and restaurant has a cute k-pop type atmosphere. This is a great spot for small families but they do not have large seating areas. The booths are 4 adults and there is also counter seating. The train is fun to watch and the robot bringing drinks and soup is fun. Someone noted issue with getting refills. You need to use the ipad at the table to request refills. When it's slower the waitress will do it without being told but that is the fastest way to request it.The ladies room at my last visit were pretty bad. Not clean, trash on floor, no paper towels, looked dirty. I typically don't visit the bathroom and asked my spouse what he thought and he said the mens room usually appears clean. Maybe this was a one off.You basically pay per lid of each dish you take from the conveyor plus what you order on the menu. We typically spend 80-100 for 2 people depending on how much eel my husband gets. He eats a lot.I end up taking home leftovers from most of my ramen, sesame dessert balls and edamame. If it seems pricey trust me this sushi is far better than other fast food type sushi places like roll on in. I would rather go one time here than 3 times there.

Amazing food, love that you get seated and can request your own rolls from a tablet or pull from the belt. They have some non seafood options too, like steak and chicken too if you have friends you don't like raw fish. I did get something off the belt and I didn't like it, I placed it off to the side and a employee came up and told me they will take it off the bill and not charge me. Super sweet and Amazing service

Great service, very attentive! Love the interactions with the robotic server, that comes to your table to serve you your drinks. How fun!! The sushi is Fantastic! I have to say it came REAL close to my all time favorite sushi place. So that being said Kawa is officially my second go to restaurant for sushi! Now it's not suitable for large groups. They do have a bar style seating where you can sit side by side with your group. The ambiance is whimsical in its own right! Must pay a visit!

Long story short: fun experience with decent sushiI've never been to a revolving sushi restaurant before, so this was a totally new experience for me. It was so fun! The sushi itself was nothing spectacular, but it was definitely enjoyable. The whole conveyor belt thing was fun, as it allowed us to grab what we wanted & try new things. I feel we had a lot of sushi for the price, too. I would definitely go back & use it as an opportunity to try new rolls.

Always a fun time at Kawa! You can eat as much or as little food as your heart desires. All the sushi looks so good and there's a variety of food. It's a fun experience getting to pick your sushi or different foods like seaweed salad. Definitely give this place a try! And if you order something not on the conveyer belt then it's a little train. I also tried the ramen which was just the right amount!

I was a bit mixed on this... sushi was "ok" and service was automated (not a bad thing). What human service there was ... they were great. No refills on soda? Not sure what they do refill on except water? The food we ordered was pretty quick. The selection that was on conveyor belt was also limited and tasted very similar. The sushi also wasn't wrapped tight and fell apart. It was kind of pricey, by sushi standards even as all plates were $3.25 each for small morsels. The desert was a dressed up version of the cake you get at all you can eat buffets (mass produced squares) with some chocolate filled cone ends. Also $3.25... crème brulee wasn't restaurant (on-site made) or was made from powder. Had a whole milk after taste. We spent $200 for 7 people so we did try almost everything. The teriyaki chicken was $7 but came with a small amount of poorly made chicken and vegetables. With that said, if you know what you're getting, it's great for quick sushi.

Fun!!Customer service is great, and I was given an explanation for how everything works. Each plate off the conveyor belt is 3.75$. You can order off the iPad in front of you if you don't see what you want. I ended up with 8 plates, and one plate of double salmon sashimi for 35$.The squid is sweet, the salmon is fatty. The fish was decent, but not the best. The train is fun to watch go around, this would be a great date spot.

So yummy, easily the best sushi place in Cincinnati. The robot servers and the train carts for food delivery were fun and quick. Usually pretty casual, and the privacy of their booths makes it pretty intimate even during busy spells.
