Just Cookin BBQ

Smh 2nd experience with this restaurant in years. This is not it food was overly salted, over cooked if this is soul food I truly feel sorry for them souls. If the seasonings are corrected this would be amazing. The rice was not it at all tasteless. The ambiance was great customer service outstanding.

I've been missing out!!!! Everything was good from the perch to the sweet potatoes and the rib tips. The Mac n Cheese slapped HARD. Definitely will be back. Cincy now has legit soul food spots.

I've ordered out quite a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. The meat loaf is great and honestly is enough for two meals. The sides are purdy good, still haven't tried all of them yet but I'm working on it . Country Boy recommended

I ordered the Whiting Meal with double cabbage. The food was tasty and the portion size was grand. I will continue to order my fried fish

My favorite from scratch cooked food restaurants in the Cincinnati area. Just Cookin BBQ has such a wonderful variety of selections to choose from. And I have been pleased with all of my purchases. Thank you for such great meals, when I don't feel like cooking myself!

Just cooking bbq, well I wish they was just cooking bbq for me and my family. New menu items daily, very nice customer service. Owner came out from kitchen and greeted and welcomed everyone. Something you don't see in todays age. Reminds me of my grandparents way of cooking that seems to be all but lost.

Great food. Good pricing. The oxtails is to die for. Friendly staff. The ambiance is great also.

6:15 and I come here to grab takeout and they say they are closed. Everywhere online says they are open until 7 today and they denied me. As I sit to look for a new place to grab dinner, they are still working? I wish the restaurants in this area served until it says they will.... It's dinner time for all sake.... Serve dinner- it's not like I was coming up to the door at 9pm.

All I can say is: WOW!Walked in and was presented with the menu of the day. Most of the dishes are out in the deli case so you can see them before ordering. I went with the baby back ribs meal and chose the yams for a side. When my order was called I was handed a bag that easily weighed 2 pounds: Smoked ribs, yellow rice, beans, cornbread, and sweet yams. The ribs were heavily smoked with a very savory rub. The smoke and rub flavor penetrated all the way to the bone- much better than some of the other bbq in town. Their sauce is great too- sweet & heat reminds me of Nashville style bbq.Don't sleep on the beans! Those were probably the best side dish I have had in the city (including restaurants that cost twice as much). Perfectly balanced seasonings with smoked pork and a rich base.I couldn't finish my meal as it was so large, so I got to enjoy it again as dinner and attached is a photo.Note: Some of the bad reviews on here are really just people who were screwed over by the food delivery apps. Those apps are shady- they list restaurants without their consent and show menu items that the restaurant doesn't even have that day.They don't have a bathroom and they don't seem to do phone or online orders. If you need those then maybe you should just dine somewhere else.
