Hi boys and girls, welcome to Jungle Jim's! (jovial laughing)I wonder how old the sound effects that they play at the main entrance are?In 2023 I moved to Ohio from San Diego. Many people continually ask me, knowing that food is so important to me, how are you coping with the loss of food options? They just can't fathom when I tell them that this area is super diverse, and we have incredible food available here. One of the main reasons is Jungle Jim's!!I am incredibly grateful to JJ's for their mission, and the constant hard work of their super helpful staff. It's a huge operation and it's awe-inspiring! They have not just style and showmanship but also substance. One of my favorite things is their kitchen tools section - they have ALL of the best equipment from brands I love and trust. Kikuichi knives, Demeyere, Le Creuset, Staub, Zwilling, Smithey, many specialty baking products, full OXO product line... whoever is in charge there really knows what they're doing. It's such an insane resource to be able to see high quality products in person and not have to buy everything online or run down to Williams Sonoma or whatever. With the combo of amazing equipment and huge variety of ingredients, I feel empowered to make anything I want in my kitchen, which feels really incredible. They also have cooking classes that I really need to look into! There are some food items they don't have, and this is where I'm spoiled by being a Californian. To me the Japanese section is lacking (because I'm used to Nijiya, Marukai, Mitsuwa) and the Korean section is pretty sad to me (HMart, KP international in Sac). I wish that they would carry fresh tteok, sometimes I see fresh noodles, sometimes I see fresh tofu. Maybe the local availability of these products just isn't there, what I do see comes from Chicago. They have all of the absolute staples and carry a lot of frozen products though, and if they're really missing something I can run down to CAM or Coco Sakula and I'm covered. They also didn't have dried limes a month ago (not Korean or Japanese lol) and still haven't restocked them, but there's probably somewhere else local I can find them. The sushi department confuses me but it's still good. The sushi is generally good but the majority of rolls seem to not contain seaweed for some reason? Not sure why lol... are people really that averse? If I ask for a custom roll I think they would use it, I should do that more often. The sushi is a good general base but I usually put rice vinegar and furikake on it when I get home. I like that they have onigiri. I wish they had more options though or maybe I'm just not there when more options are out (this is impossible because I basically live there). I would love some eel onigiri! Also, yes kimbap is NOT sushi but CAM has kimbap and I wish JJ's would too. I wish they would have more ready made food options in general. I guess what I'm really craving is HMart lol.Anyway I love JJ's and I discover more things I love about it every time I go. They move stuff around or get new products all the time so it always feels like an adventure. Of course that's also a downside when you want something and it's not there anymore (I miss you, lemon ricotta cookies). It somehow took me over 10 visits before I discovered the Italian, French and Kosher sections... ADHD lol. Btw they also have my favorite pasta of all time, Marella spaghetti... I just want to reiterate that they truly understand quality products here, and that I appreciate this store so much. I always spend too much money here but I will support them forever. I love you JJ!!!!

Jungle Jim's is more than just a store--it's an incredible collection of shops all under one roof. From the moment you step inside, you realize this is no ordinary grocery store. A fully operational radio studio broadcasts live podcasts, adding to the lively atmosphere. Gourmet cooks will find a vast selection of specialty ingredients and cook ware, while the cheese department boasts varieties from around the world. The liquor section is so expansive it rivals standalone liquor stores. Their store also hosts memorable celebrations, such as the bourbon tasting or wine tasting events. But the true highlight is the staggering selection of international foods, meticulously organized by country and region. If you can't find it at Jungle Jim's, it might not exist! Be sure to set aside at least an hour or two to explore--it's not just a shopping trip, but a unique, entertaining, and educational experience.

An amazing selection of everything.. I think it will take most of a day or more to see most everything her.It is basically a very good enclosed market - one you may see in large cities or overseas.Oh, and many great prices.

The overall store was nice. The store was a bit of a maze but that is natural with the size of the place. The store is MASSIVE, yeah no MASSIVE. Anyways I was reviewing to complain about their product control. I assume that they have so many products and just carry everything they can. There is a pasta were the noodles are shaped like a man's private part (penis). This is unacceptable. Think about the children. Disgraceful!!

Jungle Jim's is one of my favorite places. Since living in Jerusalem I love that I can come here and find authentic Israeli foods as well as foods from other places I've traveled. It's a great place to bring people from out of town and my husband and I have done date nights here before. It's entertaining for kids. And don't miss the pickle wars!

This is one of my favorite stores you can find any and everything you need. It's an international market, so you can be adventurous and walk down the different isle from different countries and buy a few items to try at home. Customer service is always friendly and help you find items in the store because the store is huge and sometimes hard to find item. But I can stay in here for hours it's worth the visit.

I was in the area and had to stop for a visit! They just have the best selection of sodas with such a wide variety. The hot sauce area is just awesome and my son can always find something new and interesting to try amongst them. I make my way over to England to grab my all time favorite toffee, Japan to grab the best gum to have ever existed, and the fruit section to try a new fruit or two for fun. This place is just fun for me and my family. My only complaint is DO NOT go on a Saturday. The place is so packed that you just feel smooshed and rushed in every area. A week day is way better and a Sunday right at open is good too!

They have so much variety here! So much food from many places of the world. Theanamatronics are a nice touch. The employees where giving samples so that way you know what you are getting into before buying. That was nice! Prices are a little bit more than regular retail but it's worth it.

Overall I enjoyed my first experience - especially in the international foods section. Everything was so different than what I'm used to experiencing. The environment was very lively. I think the crowdedness was a lot, but otherwise it was a very cool place.
