This local market is a hidden gem! If nothing else, you MUST go here for the fresh pita! It's currently $3.50 for 10 and baked fresh daily - the best pita I have ever had, so do yourself a favor and drop by this week.PRO TIP: If you're plugging it into Apple Maps, it comes up as "Jerusalem Food and Bakery!" The shop itself is very unassuming, tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. And don't let the infrequent Yelp reviews fool you - this spot is very much alive and well!! Would also highly recommend the meats at the butcher counter - very reasonably priced. Got 2 lbs lamb for $13 and great advice on how to prepare it. Overall a wonderful local market I would highly recommend visiting!

The market is AMAZING! They have fresh pita bread made fresh daily - both whole wheat and white - and the white pita is EXACTLY like what you will find in Jerusalem. I just moved back from Jerusalem after living there for a year and I had to literally hunt to find this type of pita in the States - soft, chewy, and fluffy. They also have authentic hummus - also hard to find - very smooth and creamy. They also have a wide selection of middle eastern grocery products and fresh falafel as well. I will be a frequent customer!

Best handmade Pita!I was given a tip to check this place out and specifically have the Pita with cheese on top. Wow, it's so fresh and so fluffy and so good, made right on site. Had one in the car, the rest toasted under the broiler in oven! AMAZINGWell worth the drive there to get the fresh pita!!

FINALLY! A good pita bread in Cincinnati. Made fresh every day, and authentically chewy-stretchy (unlike anything you can get in town...really!). We loved the mild hummus, the great fresh falafel. We ate lunch right there at the checkout while our congenial cashier let us try different things and even added olive oil to our hummus. The quality of the store made products reminds me of lots of little mediterranean markets in Los Angeles. This market has the usual....rose water, dates, canned stuff...but they also have fresh cucumbers and other veg to go with your pita/falafel/hummus pig out....and neat cookies with sesame on the outside, plus tons of nougat and Turkish Delight type sweets. The owner tells us that he can make an entire lamb stuffed with rice, pine nuts and other things for parties. I need to have a party!

One of those places that makes Cincinnati, Ohio a better and more diverse place to live than it has traditionally been. The owners and staff at Jerusalem Market are extremely friendly and helpful. They seem to sincerely appreciate their customers. Now to the good part. Their pita bread is fresh and is very similar to traditional pita that you get in Jerusalem and elsewhere in Israel. They prepare authentic home made hummus. Superb. If you are used to hummus from the supermarket or a trader joe's type shop, it may take some getting used to, but if you want to eat authentic hummus as it is served in the Middle East, this be it. They also carry several items like pickled cucumbers and a variety of canned olives imported from Lebanon and the West Bank. As to the latter, it is good to contribute to the West Bank economy as a contribution to peace. Really. Economic development and independence is a part of separating from Israel politically and economically. Plus, the stuff is really tasty. There is also a well stocked section of spices that you won't see at Kroger, etc. and also specialty items like zatar encrusted pitas and home made felafel. Support this retailer. It and other ethnic food markets make Cincinnati a better place to be.

Goodness! I just came from a delicious BBQ where the host served Jerusalem Market meat. Here's the fantastical part. She had the butcher grind her beef and then season it with parsley, garlic, onion, and other delicious things. I didn't know they could do that for you! And I couldn't get enough of it! I'm telling you, for your next BBQ just have the butcher season your hamburger meat. You won't be sorry!

They have the absolute best felafel, pita and hummus in the area. All (3) are made fresh and are wonderful. Everything freezes well and I buy those items weekly-bi-weekly. Great people as well.

This used to be my all time favorite groceries. It has changed ownership multiple times. They carry three brands of spices with American names. Sage is not a spice, but in the tea isle, either bulk or in tea bags (very fresh!). Mexican Saffron (petals of the Mexican Sunflower) is labelled Safflower "leaves". It is used for tea. It is not available in Mexican groceries.Chickens weigh only 3 1/4 pounds. Cleaner than American chicken, leaner than 5 1/4 pound Mexican chickens.
