Jenn's Hot Tamale

Great lunch today on Fountain Square Cincinnati as I got to taste Jenn's Hot Tamale food truck. It was my first go and I tried the signature tamale with roasted street corn. Both items were great and I'm hoping to give other items a try in the future.If you see the truck, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I was getting my hair done next door and when I came out I saw these guys parked outside Streetside Brewing. The menu looked so good, so I could not resist. The people running it were super kind! I ordered the Tamale platter with a poblano and cheese tamale. It came with street corn (which was in the form of a salad, not on the cobb) and zucchini salad. Surprisingly the zucchini was so good I ate all of it right off the bat. The flavor was amazing. The street corn was tasty. The tamale itself was quite large and the texture was fluffy! I am used to more dense tamales, but I enjoyed something different. The poblano and cheese did not seem to have a ton of flavor, but the sauces it came with sure did. I recommend trying the red and green sauce on the side, as they are super flavorful, but both fairly spicy. Several other menu items looked enticing so I will be searching them on streetfoodfinder for upcoming locations!

Great eats from Latin streets indeed! Catch this food truck around town and you will not be disappointed. The food is inspired by the owner's time in Peru so this is not your basic taco experience. All of the salsas are freshly homemade. There options for meat lovers and non-meat lovers alike. I throughly enjoyed my tamale platter, with its unique flavors.The street corn was tasty, as well. The serving surfaces were clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Really awful service. Seems like neither of the people running the truck had any idea what to do. Go to another food truck & save yourself the hassle.

OMG!! Jenn's tacos are amazing! just like everything she makes ! quality ingredients- perfect balance of acid, salt, flavor ! So authentic

Got the tamale and coworker got the tacos. Food portions were extremely small with high prices. So disappointed.

I try to avoid leaving bad reviews and it pains me because the staff was kind, but man this was one of the most disappointing food experiences I've had in awhile. I tried this truck several times a few years back and it was wonderful so I was so excited to get it again, but the portions, flavor and value for your money have significantly declined since then. I ordered the 2 taco platter and 1 pork tamale. I completely understand that prices have increased everywhere, but paying $8 for a taco platter where the 2 tacos are smaller than my hand is not at all worth the money. Beyond that, the meats had barely any flavor! I had to drench them in salsa and lime which is unlike past experiences. The tamale was also not the best. The masa tasted undercooked and had a watery texture, it had the smallest portion of pork AND the pork that was in there was nearly all fatty pieces. For $16 (tip included) I was left super disappointed and still hungry, which as a customer is frustrating. I really hope they can turn things around because my past experiences were so great at this food truck.
