UPDATE: Our PR team was told by John Adams that the staff were put on "indefinite leave" on Friday, yet there is video on Facebook of the guy working an event that next day (Saturday November 1st). Its one thing to see the lack of professionalism in the employees, completely different when its the owner covering up for them and condoning the behavior. It seems as though they were trying to just make us happy, but didn't realize we'd see a video from their event on Saturday. We have used this company three times now, and the third was our last. The first two times were fine and the food was okay, but this last time turned us off to never use them again. The food was an improvement, but their staff were some of the most unprofessional people we've ever come in contact with. We had a professionals Halloween party at our office last night. Started at 4, they didn't get to our office until after 3:30 when they were supposed to be here by 3 to allow time to set up. We had people showing up asking for drinks and food and neither were available to our guests because it took them until 4:45 just to get set up. The guy who was working smelled like a cloud of marijuana the entire time, to the point where we were walking the hallways spraying Febreze trying to mask the smell. He was "bartending" and if you got within 5 feet of the bar area, you smelled it. Our employees noticed it, and our guests commented on it, and to call it embarrassing is an understatement. One of our employees watched him light up a joint outside of our back door. The woman who was with him was walking around taking shots of our own drinks we brought in personally and witnessed her eating our food on multiple occasions. They didn't bring corkscrews to open the wine, so a coworker let him use hers. Instead of returning it to her like she asked, he took it. They didn't bring chips for our dip. The beer was warm. They left a mess in our conference room, and left our kitchen floor sticky and a mess from the bartender spilling alcohol all over the floor. Our corporate team has tried contacting the owner a couple times since yesterday and this morning and are getting no response. Overall, we're extremely appalled and embarrassed by the lack of professionalism, cleanliness and dependability of the employees of this company.

I held a two day 175-person professional event and selected Jeanette's Delicacies to cater breakfast, lunch, and snacks for both days. I couldn't have made a better decision! The food was an excellent break vs what's normally provided at conferences, and the service/support was fabulous. When determining the menu I heeded to Jeannette's suggestions and every item was uniquely delicious. You can't go wrong with JD!

Jeanette got in touch with us right away after we wrote to her via Purpleunions.com - we had our wedding in our home. From the moment we first went to taste the food through the wedding, everything was beautifully handled. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, timing was perfect, and they even very quietly managed to move starters from outside to inside during the ceremony because a wild storm was approaching, and took the initiative to do it without causing the slightest interruption to our ceremony in the living room - no small feat considering space limitation. It would be impossible to recommend Jeannette's highly enough - the staff was absolutely wonderful every step of the way , and great fun besides!

Jeanette was the caterer for our wedding a few weeks ago at Walden Ponds in Hamilton, Ohio. Not only was the food wonderful (the blackened tofu was really superb and my vegetarian friends were ECSTATIC to be able to get a full meal at a catered event) but the staff was beyond helpful. Everyone on her team was professional and always made sure myself, the groom and our families were taken care of. Dinner was elegant & went incredibly smooth, and the cake cutting was great. I planned the wedding from Oregon (where I now live) and Jeanette always responded to my emails and calls promptly - this is really an invaluable thing when planning a wedding. I probably asked the same question 30 times and gave numerous wrong answers/was disorganized, but everything was taken care of. A lot of other companies charged a lot more for a lot less - and I know we would have paid a lot more for their service!

We didn't use Jeannette's Delicacies for caterer but we booked them for bartenders. They were not our first choice for bartender services but they were our last choice. We had our reception at The Center downtown and they needed bartenders to have liability insurance which didn't leave me with many choices since most of bartenders don't have that. My guests didn't complain about anything except about the bar service. The bartenders were so rude and gave them attitudes. These guys weren't cheap , we were paying 250 per person just to bartend and I got 3. My guests deserved better treatment than those crappy bartenders that I got. We also paid 200 for mixed drinks, soda and stuff and they neverrrrrr mentioned my guests won't be able to get sodas from them. The only thing Jeannette told me something would be extra was water which would be .75 cent person so we took care of water. We had a lot of kids at the reception and to find out they didn't get to drink any soda or anything pissed us off during our reception. One of my bridesmaids also told me she heard the lady that was bartending for us complained in the restroom and said something about she was about to have a panic attack, so that was very professional too, NOT! Overall, we spent way too much money for this service to get bartenders with attitudes to our guests, no warning about pop drinks for guests and us getting stressed out during our reception.

We used Jeannette's Delicacies for a company event. I am only giving one star because the woman that was on-site the day of was very nice. Now, onto the areas that need improvement. The day before our event, Jeanette's went silent. Could not get a response back to confirm payment, arrival time, etc. I started to panic and feared we would not having catering for our company event. Finally at 7:00 pm, I received a response that they would be there. The proposed arrival time was 12:00 pm, with our event starting at 1:00. With over 100 people RSVP'd, I didn't feel that was enough time to set up. I let Jeannette's know they could come earlier to set up as the whole morning we would be preparing for the event. The day of the event, the staff showed up late, and by 12:50 they were still setting up. Myself along with other employees had to step in and help finish setting up as we had customers arriving. The food itself was not pleasant. The pretzels for the beer cheese and pretzels were hard and cold, the cheesecake for the mini gourmet desserts was from Walmart, and overall the display was visually unappealing. On top of that, we were told we would have two employees on site at all times to turn the food to make sure everything stayed warm. Both employees would disappear for 30 minutes at a time and go to their van. One employee made themselves a plate multiple times throughout the event and would be eating when guests would come up for a plate. Overall for what we paid, our staff was very dissatisfied and would not recommend using Jeannette's again.

Such a disappointment for our 50th high school reunion! The "appetizers" were wilted, withered and skimpy. Not nearly enough for the group of 200. The buffet dinner the second night was late and cold and not even close to the quality promised. Jeanette's admitted to the disaster and offered a refund of $3,000 but never paid anything. Our class president has filed in small claims court. It wouldn't be a surprise if they were out of business.

Jeannette's charged me $1,200 two months after my wedding, at which they were paid in full. More than two weeks after the $1,200 charge and I still can't get my money back.Jeannette's catered my wedding on 9/7/19 and were paid in full on 9/1/19. After our guest count was finalized, Jeannette's actually owed me $70.28. The evening of my wedding, an employee tracked me down and asked me to settle up. I informed her that THEY owed ME money. She said the accountant would issue the refund at a later date. Not believing I'd ever see that money, I deducted it from their tip.Two month's later, I noticed a $1,200 charge come through on my debit card. I called Jeannette's several times and couldn't reach anyone. I got online and found a Better Business Bureau review that mentioned another customer had also been double charged. I reported my debit card lost/stolen so no more fraudulent charges could be processed.I finally got a hold of Jeannette via email and she stated she would refund the $1,200. She sent me a photo of the refund receipt and I checked my bank account to see the refund was Pending. Several days later, the refund was never deposited and was no longer pending. I contacted my bank and was informed that Jeannette's must have issued a stop payment on the refund. I contacted Jeannette's and she said that the money had left her bank account and it must be an issue with the credit card processor. She has since stopped responding to my emails and I still do not have my $1,200.

This says it all: for the disaster, they agreed to reimburse us over $3000 and never paid a cent. Horrible food. Horrible service.

I hired Jeannettes to cater my wedding in October. We met in person twice and corresponded via email as well. My husband and I were very pleased after meeting with them and excited for the day of the wedding. Jeannettes staff was confidant in assuring us they would take care of everything. The menu was set. The bartender would bring everything he needed. The staff would set up the tent. They assured that my husband I had nothing to worry about. Unfortunately this could not be further from what actually happened. Jeannettes was scheduled to arrive at 3:30. At 5:15 AFTER the ceremony and when the reception was supposed to begin, they hadn't even started setting the tent up. The bartender brought only drink with him so my husband and the grooms men were left with setting up tables for him and started putting together the tent. When the catering crew did start to set things up, they realized they left all the table clothes behind. Needless to say, our reception started over an hour late! They dropped pans of food in the process and put together absolute junk to try to replace it. We honestly thought they had delivered the wrong weddings food! When they finally started to set up the tables, guest were already sitting down and silverware was thrown at them. No water glasses were on the tables. No dressing for the salad. No one was released for the buffet so no one knew what was going on. There weren't enough appetizers and they put the table in the middle of the dance floor! My husband and I never even knew the appetizers were there! When asked what the hold up was, we were informed they were unaware how far away our venue was. In this day and age of google maps, I find that to be a poor excuse! We have attempted to contact them 4 times now and have received no response. They were paid in full prior to the wedding so I'm assuming they feel their job is done. I could not be more unhappy with their service and will certainly put the word out to avoid using this company at all cost! This is so unfortunate since we truly thought we had found a gem.
