JD's Old Fashioned Frozen Custard

We are in town for a convention and passed by this shop several times. Honestly, what drew us to the place was seeing the line. Ordering was easy because of the large board and we chose the chocolate custard. It was delicious.Being a cost-conscious person I got the quart ($6), and that's a good idea if you have a bunch of friends or family to eat it all. However, my mistake, staying in a hotel the quart size didn't fit in the freezer section. So the next day it was soup. Next time I will just get a cone.There's an inside place to sit but we were overdressed. Next time we'll come more casual or hey! eat it at the park across the street.

This is without a doubt Englewood's flagship ice cream experience. Did you even go to Englewood if you don't know about this place? Does Custard make you cute? Idk, but this is 100% a dime spot and your date will put this up as a favorite place to go to. Now, I will get so much hate for this, but in all honesty their ice cream/custard is good but can absolutely be beat. It's not something that has that spark that is elite top tier level taste. I know a lot of people will say that it is, but it's not. They have some creative items like the trash can was a thing at one point and they have sometimes unique flavors of the month. In all reality if I want top tier taste I will go somewhere else. Also, the price for how good the taste is is high. This is for sure the only reason I did not rate it 5 stars. The environment is the best you can get for an ice cream/custard place. They have the highest of quality workers, I mean these guys bleed JD Custards. The building is nice. It's worth checking out inside even though it's just basically a hallway. The bike path forces the building to be further off of the main road. Which I think makes it more safer and kinda adds to the environment in a positive way. Centennial park is a crossed the street and the sun strait up goes down in the perfect spot for this place. They just added this iconic chair out front which is awesome. Again, JD custards is a flagship place for Englewood and you may fall in love with it.

JD's is definitely a classic in the Dayton, OH area. They have a ton of options making it easy for anyone to come and enjoy a tasty treat, even your fur babies! I had their specialty, the Buckeye Sundae, which is a beautiful mix of chocolate and vanilla custard with fudge and peanut butter sauce topped with a yummy homemade Buckeye. Visiting this establishment should be no question! Try it today, you won't be disappointed.

We stopped by on Memorial Day evening. The custard was rich and smooth. Loved the idea of the dogwich - my dog was busy licking it while we had our treats. Things were on the sweet side. The caramel apple concrete was too sweet for our taste, but we enjoyed the s'mores sundae!

CUSTARD MAKES ME CUTE!! I've been eating is ice cream since I was a kid it's a hometown favorite here and we love it the flavors are amazing the custard it's always so good. Make sure your little one says "custard makes me cute" when ordering and they will give your child a token to use inside for a free gumball!

This may just be our absolute favorite place in Englewood! In my 40 years of life I had never had frozen custard and now I don't think I could live without it! We haven't had anything we don't like and find new things to fall in love with every year. I think the best thing is the staff! There are new faces every year, but there are also plenty of the same faces too. The only thing we don't like is when they close for the season!

Very popular for their custard. Very good custard and service. There are tables outside and indoors to sit and enjoy your tasty treat.

Chefs kiss I love jd's reminds me of my childhood if you like lemon you need to try the Lemon custard

They have a great sugar free low carb shake. Highly recommend if you are diabetic and looking for a treat that doesn't cost you a toe.
