The new owners are carrying products that are expired or the best by date has passed! This is perturbing on many levels! I bought Priya Garlic pickle and the best by date was August of 2023!

As an Indian living in Cincinnati (and the US) for 4 years, I find Jagdeep's to be the life-source of my kitchen requirements if I can't find it in a Kroger. They have all kinds of spices used in South Asian cuisine, like cumin, turmeric, green chili, bay leaves, curry leaves, cardamom, fennel seeds (saunf), etc. just to name a few. They also carry frozen food like different kinds of parathas, naans and chapattis, paneer, shrikhand (a dessert), idli and dosa. Also various ready-to-cook meals, including vegetarian options, varieties of rice and lentils, and ready-made spices from Shan (which I love!) and others. They've pickles and ginger-garlic paste too!Apart from these they also stock some vegetables like gourd, bitter gourd (my fav!), onions, okra; and instant noodles imported from India like Maggi. They also carry many Indian brands of FMCG products from Dabur, Vicco and Parle for e.g., if you prefer them to ones from supermarkets. I really like the whole collection in the store. It's adequate for most household needs, usually are well-stocked and the people at counter are polite and helpful, including the owner. For students/family living near campus, Jagdeep's is your one-stop destination for all Indian groceries at reasonable prices. You won't walk out disappointed.

Very good for Indian grocery shopping close to downtown. It is not very big but they have most of the basic stuff you require - vegetables, snacks, Maggi, lentils, grains, flour, frozen items, batters, spices etc. - the options may be less though. We have been buying things from here since about a year and hardly ever had any complaints. The store hours is also very convenient as it is open till 10PM. There is street parking available, which is generally available close to the store itself. However, it is a busy street, so turning around may be a little challenging. Overall, a great place for Indian groceries.

Poor service, limited quantity, subpar quality. This is not the Indian grocery store for you. Would recommend any other place in town!

Knowledgeable and helpful staff with a great selection of authentic snacks and staples. Also, fresh produce delivered every thursday. A variety of inexpensive incense. Big bags of rice and beans for a good price. Try the prepared curries! $2.50 and they're usually enough for two meals and simple to prepare, you just have to make your own rice and sometimes i add veggies as well.

New location with lots of great Indian food items to fill your belly and keep you coming back for more. I am not an expert on cooking Indian food by any means but hope that others will eventually chime in with their reviews as to the quality of Jagdeep's items. I did see a few frozen dinner type items that I've had from Jungle Jim's as well as some nan that were both good considering they are frozen. On this visit, I purchased some pitted dates $4 and some crackers or something for my girlfriend. I ate some of the dates and they were fine. They have a selection of Bollywood movies near the register (for free?) but they do not have subtitles, so for the Hindi proficient, it will be a nice find. So, if you have the time to cook Indian and you're not wanting to eat at one of the possibly over half dozen Indian restaurants in Clifton, check out Jagdeep's.

Since I had nothing else to do during COVID-19, I decided to check this place out the first time and have been here a couple times now. I've been getting into Indian and African cooking lately and assuming you know anything about those two cuisines, they require an assortment of spices and other exotic ingredients that are just overpriced at Kroger. I also enjoy the collection of snacks and pre-made breads like naan and paratha if I don't want to knead the dough myself. I find some of the produce especially the onions and garlic to be a little suspect though since they don't seem fresh and won't last long once you take them home so you gotta use them quickly. Although I do like getting the mangoes from here. That's the one produce item from here that is always good. Never buying mangoes anywhere else in this area again! This is a small grocery store that is meant to supplement everything else you can easily get in other grocery stores. For South Asian cooking or any cuisines that rely on an assortment of spices and other aromatics, this is a solid place to shop at.

I have been going there for a few years and today was the worst experience ever. Lady at the counter was a 5 letter word and just nasty to me. I would rather drive further and never buy from them again. Attitude was just horrible....felt like she was doing me a favor. OMG just the worst experience ever. I bought only a few things and left. Will be going to another Indian store to finish my shopping. Prices not marked on most of the stuff and she said I had to keep asking what the prices are. Are you serious? Said that is how all the grocery stores are. Well sounds like she hasn't been out much ;-). Stay away!
