I'm sorry to have forgotten to update our review of Jack's Catering in 2023, so here goes again: A strong reminder how bad this outfit truly is - We called Jack's, spoke with Katie to schedule our event having Jack's cater. During the course of that conversation and two more conversations, we asked all pertinent questions for the information we needed to know about napkins, plates, cups, utensils, beverages, set-up, etc.. After making our final determination on those selections, we calculated our per head costs, and verified that with Katie. We provided a credit card and made a deposit reserving our date 6-mths prior to our event. We called Jacks on the last date we'd be able to make any changes, but Katie wasn't in --- So, CHARLIE (allegedly the owner) took our call, where we shared our final headcount to be 88.....It was then that Jack advised that there was a 100-person minimum for the pricing we had been quoted, there would be a 'grill fee' to provide hot food - Silly us, eh? Who would have thought having a caterer provide hot dogs and hamburgers would require us to request that the food be cooked? When I expressed my consternation that the final pricing was far different than was quoted, Jack was kind enough to suggest that we find another caterer, as ALL Prices were on their drop down menus and on their web-site. After I shared that we had already collected money from our Classmates based upon Katie's quotes, I asked what he might suggest other than paying more than the quoted price - Charlie responded, "That's NOT MY problem." Wow - what a wonderful customer service attitude, And, as glibly that Charlie delivered his response, it was apparent it wasn't his first rodeo overcoming customer push back on Jack's Catering BAIT AND SWITCH pricing. In summary, Charlie needs to attend Customer Service Training - He demonstrated ZERO class, but hey, he owns the business and can treat his customers anyway he chooses. We just held our 50th Class Reunion - AND DID NOT EVEN CONSIDER JACK's CATERING - Truly, Jack's is a miserable company with with to even consider doing business with.

Rude staff. They ran out of their vegetarian option. And when asked about it, they just shrugged.

We were very disappointed in the food for our wedding last Saturday. You couldn't cut the beef, the vegetables were mushy and the new potatoes had no flavor. I would not recommend this catering service to anyone.

TERRIBLE! After I was told they "don't do second tastings" I got HUNG UP ON! Thinking it had to be a mistake, I called back, and my fiancé found it was actually the OWNER who did this!I will say that I do understand if a company wouldn't do a second, third or forth tasting because some people would definitely abuse it. However, we were not. We went down the first time under the impression that we had to choose between one of their wedding menus since we were, of course getting married. The lady told us while we were there that we could choose anything at all, or we could even make our own menu, choosing different things and she would do it that way. So we set up another meeting, had a family emergency, had to cancel and could not reschedule right away because of it. When I called back...this happened.Never would I recommend them. If this is how the owner runs a business, I can't believe he even has one in this day and age where customer service is top notch at most places. I only gave one star because I had to put something, but in my opinion he would get a whopping 0 stars!!! Absolutely terrible....

They deserve a zero. They showed up with the wrong meal for 50 people for our family Christmas celebration. The delivery guy called the owner (Charlie) and instead of apologizing, he was belligerent, hung up on us twice, and said he would give us 50% off, take it or leave it. We were stuck, 6:30 at night, hungry families, and kept the dinner. The delivery guy said Charlie read the card wrong and instead of preparing the pork tenderloin that we ordered, he made the Christmas special - horrible and tasteless. Turkey and roast beef smothered in gravy that did not improve it's dryness, unrecognizable stuffing, no seasoning on the corn or green beans, the only decent part was the tossed salad. The meal we ordered, which cost more than the 'Christmas Special' was a total bill of $587.35. Today on my credit card was a credit for $293.00 - not 50%!!Jack's also catered a function that my sister arranged at Children's Hospital, they forgot the silverware - I should have canceled when I heard that but gave them the benefit of the doubt. We also had a tasting scheduled with them on January 7 for my son's wedding in September - not going to happen! I called three times yesterday and left a message, no return phone call yet. Beware!!

I hired Jack's Catering last year for a church picnic and this past weekend for a party honoring my son and new daughter-in-law. Both events were for about 100 people, and both were total successes, due, in large part, to Jack's competent, professional, accommodating staff. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company. They showed up on time, grilled burgers, hot dogs, bratts, mets, and more. In addition, our menu included a variety of picnic food, both hot and cold, and it was all absolutely delicious. I will undoubtedly hire Jack's Catering in the future.

Had Jack's cater five meals over a weekend. Food was outstanding and the quantity more than enough. Had a lot left over to donate to homeless shelters. Price was the best of all caterers and my group of 88 people raved about the quality of the food and the quantity. This event was October 2023 and everyone is asking for them to come back for, and we have scheduled them for our October event 2024. They have been rated the best of all caterers we have had in the past decade!Delivery was prompt, special dietary needs met and service was prompt and courteous.

We paid for enough food for 100 guests at our wedding at riverside gardens on September 21st 2024 and we only had about 40 guests actually attended. They brought just barely enough food for the guests we did have. They were also very unprofessional. They came with only two people to serve the food (attendants were supposed to be provided to serve) they claimed to be short staffed. When we came to get our food they had two of our guests serving food with them. Also cake cutting was supposed to be included with our service and we had to basically hunt down the staff to get them to cut the cake. We were also extremely disappointed in the food quality. Everything seemed to be either cold or just luke warm. The fried chicken tasted disgusting and was sweet for some reason. They do not provide drinks other than coffee and tea which is very unusual for a catering company. Needless to say we were very disappointed and felt our money was wasted and we were embarrassed at what should have been one of the happiest day of our lives. Not to mention my husband was harassed over the phone the day after I posted a negative review on Google by the female Co owner of Jack'sCatering. No apology only attitude. Save yourself headache and unprofessional work ethic. And hire someone else. Our wedding was excellent except for the catering. Just Saying

Jack's catering came to host GECU event on July 20th, 2023. It was Cookout 1A. I had a hamburger and the quality of the meat was not good. I was chewing and I had a small piece of bone. Luckily I wasn't chewing hard but the meat was overcooked. The Mac and cheese was like eating a wet sponge. Noodles were over cook! Corn on the cob with butter overcook. It was oily unpleasant feel. The baked beans did not taste good at all. The color was very artificial looking. I wound up throwing my plate out! It was wasted food and money. I feel if a catering company can't host a simple event. I would not hire them to host my daughter's wedding.

We used Jack's for our wedding and I'm so sad we did. We were not provided multiple services that were promised in writing including: greenery to decorate the buffet table, after dinner coffee, cake cutting (my family member had to go find staff to ask), wrapping up leftovers, and cleaning up plates after the buffet line was through. I as the bride left my reception to go ask staff to clean up plates and they still refused (rudely). When we called to discuss our disappointment with this company the staff was rude and made excuses. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am so sad I did because it made my wedding feel cheap and unprofessional. I will never forget it. Also to review the food:Steak tips & mushrooms - goodBourbon glazed chicken - overcooked, dry, inedible Glazed carrots - undercooked, okBaked potato bar - good, but staff did not keep supplies stockedSalads - absolutely drenched in dressing(We didn't get a single compliment on the food if that tells you anything)
