J & W Sandwich Shoppe

Stumbled upon this place looking for a quick lunch with some coworkers. The location is unassuming and really didn't know what to expect when we walked up. Once we got in, talked to the team, and learned more about the shop, it's clear why this has been a staple in the area. The portions are generous and the sandwiches were simple but quality. I got the club sandwich which honestly could have fed two people. The staff was great and my coworkers from out of town enjoyed the sports banter and local history the staff shared. Not in this area as much recently, but definitely recommend checking this place out.

I've driven by here often, and finally stopped in. I'm almost hesitant to write a review as it's a true hidden gem in Norwood. I want them to succeed, and they will. The phone was ringing off the hook. . Don't let the exterior sway you. This is LEGIT. And economical. A true mom n pop. I just don't want this place to get so popular it loses its charm. That being said, run, don't walk

Picked up J & W sandwich shoppe to try for the first time on my work lunch break- as it was only 5 minutes away from me. The menu & prices are so affordable! Our sandwiches were sooo good and so filling. The fries and seasoning were so on point & cooked perfectly. This will definitely be top of my list for the future for work lunch!

I love this place! Nothing better than a hole in the wall sorry say that but only with great rating. Food was wonderful and the employees were friendly and professional. Food was excellent and will be making this a regular. Great quantity of food

Huge sandwiches. Got the Double BLT and the New Yorker. Great service. Friendly down to earth folks.

I'm still not sure this place is real... the sign is hand painted, the address is held on by scotch tape, the service rivals teleportation in terms of speed, the prices are affordable, and the food is delicious - none of that floppy bacon here. Crisp and delicious. Feels like a fever dream every time I go... one I'm eager to relive.Edited to add: I wrote this before looking at my previous review. With the double mention of teleportation I feel it's necessary to emphasize this place is just flat out magical. I made the mistake of getting a double decker and I could barely fit it in my mouth. I ate half of it for lunch and I'll eat the other half for dinner (and I am not a small meal gal). Its 2024 and I paid $14 for a double decker roast beef and bacon with egg, a pickle spear, chips, a can of soda, AND included a tip. That's $7 a meal folks. This is THE best deal around.

This super tiny space is unassuming, we weren't even sure we were at the right place, but inside, the smells were amazing. I ordered the New Yorker and tomato soup- both were simply amazing!!! The prices are unrivaled as well. The people working there were kind and informative. I forgot to take a picture, I enjoyed it too fast.

Actually J &W is in Norwood not Cincinnati. This place gets busy at lunchtime & the staff is great. I had the New Yorker & was disappointed by the quality of the meat. They do give you a lot for your $.

For sure hole in the wall, but those are my favorite kinda places. Customer service cool. Like two tables inside if you did want to sit, but most people grab and go. I was craving a double decker, searched yelp and they popped up. The prices are literally amazing. Like you can get lunch for less than $20, less than $10 really. I got a turkey/blt double decker with a fried egg and some broccoli cheddar soup. Didn't care for the soup, but the sandwich was good. Only thing I would do different is do double turkey instead of bacon.
