We went for a friend's birthday. We had a wonderful time. As foodies, my husband & I have been to the most expensive places in Lexington, Caribbean, Florida, Colorado & DC. The food was very good, service excellent & ambiance nice & relaxed. We throughly enjoyed all four of our meals!!!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner without a reservation. They were able to find us a spot. We decided to split a plate and ordered the lasagna. We left room for dessert and had the tiramisu. Both the dishes were fantastic and we will be back. Things to note: - Free parking is not available - Make a reservation. We got lucky

Came here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner with my fiancé. I recommend making a reservation as this place definitely gets packed! The service was great and the servers and hostess were very attentive. We ordered for appetizers the calamari and focaccia with whipped ricotta. Both are a must get. The calamari with banana peppers was a great touch as it cut the greasiness of the fried calamari. The focaccia was fresh and the cold ricotta was a great contrast to the warm bread! By the time our meal came out we were pretty stuffed but the pasta was also amazing! The bolognese was rich and meaty and the gnocchi Quattro formagio was creamy and delicious! Would recommend again for a date night out!

So we came for my birthday and it was a surprise for me. I hadn't don't any research since I didn't know this is where our reservation was. The ambiance is nice and not too upscale. There are areas to sit where you can look outside at folks walking by and see traffic. It's really not a big place. The food was good. We had ravioli and spaghetti with appetizers. I wouldn't choose this spot for a birthday dinner again but it is nice for a date night. Our server was great but I forgot his name.

Underwhelming. It was our second time to ItalX. The calamari was quite good, but this time there seemed to be equal parts calamari and banana peppers and the calamari seemed to be in much smaller pieces. The caprese salad was a highlight--the burrata was rich and delicious; loved the earthy cherry tomatoes. My pasta and my partner's entree special were real disappointments. For my pasta, the menu listed bucatini, but I received gargenelli instead, as did my friend who ordered the same thing. I purposefully didn't order the pasta dish that specified gargenelli because I'm not a fan of that type of noodle. If our waiter or a manager or anyone had mentioned they were out of bucatini, I would have requested spaghetti. It was a special occasion with friends, and I didn't want to make a big deal of it, but this ingredient substitution is a pretty significant one given it's an Italian restaurant. I also found the flavor to be lackluster. I fished out the several shrimp pieces and sun-dried tomatoes and left a bowl full of pesto pasta. My partner ordered the osso buco. It was dry, chewy, and not as flavorful as he expected it to be. The bed of risotto that it came on was also quite bland and the handful of arugula on top of the veal shank seemed odd--as if compensating for some deficits in what should've been the star of the plate. All in all, we had a great time with our friends, good laughs, and quality service. Next time we'll just have our friends over for a nice homemade Italian supper and not drop $200+ with gratuity for a mediocre meal for two.

My fiancé and I came here for the first time for a belated Valentine's dinner and it was spectacular! Our food was high quality and flavorful. The lasagna was probably the best we both have ever had in a restaurant - it just melts in your mouth! The other dishes and desserts were also delightful and worth having again. Our server was kind and attentive, and the general staff were friendly and accommodating. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent for a date night, the lighting is romantic, the decor is modern Italian, and the vibes are amazing! I can't wait for our next trip back!

The food is excellent. You can tell everything is fresh. We sat at the bar and the two girls were knowledgeable about the menu and fun to talk to! Great vibe inside. We're from out of town and glad we stopped bits hard to know where to eat. Don't skip this spot!

In town visiting and got the recommendation to try this place out - it's in the heart of downtown, the parking garage took a minute but we got it. Smaller restaurant but very nice. It was a spring day (but also Thursday rush hour) and they had windows and doors open to the street so it was very loud even in the back of the restaurant. A bunch of ambulances and motorcycles - if you're looking for a quiet place it's not here.Ordered drinks and wine - for apps we got the Arancini and the Proscuitto di Parma - both were great but loved the Arancini.Table ordered 2 lasagnas, a bolognese and the cacio e Pepe. All great but the bolognese was the least tasty of the 3. Still would be happy to eat them all any day. I got chicken on the cacio e Pepe and it was dry, I'd skip it next time - the pasta is all you need. Would definitely be back!TL, DR - food amazing, can be loud if eating with doors and windows open, service pretty good. Worth it for the food hands down
