Irene's Little Bar

Irenes is a cute little dive bar in an old house. I used to love going there when I was in my 20s but that was when I smoked. I no longer smoke and they allow indoor smoking so it's not for me. If I do go I would grab a drink and immediately go outside.

Curtis, our bartender, was absolutely awesome! Wish we had a regular 'dive' spot like this in Paris, KY. Outdoor, indoor seating, pool table, three TV's, two pinball machines, up-to-date jukebox, nice wooden full bar, smoke ventilation units since it's a smoking permitted bar, both doors were opened on a lovely day & very friendly regulars that have been coming for 37 years! Drinks were fantastic! Frozen pizza & cheese plates for food & out of all 'dive' bars I've been to I can rate it as a gem in comparison five stars. Exactly what every locals area in these parts needs. Curtis also made it feel like we had been there forever, like cheers. Looking forward to coming back when I'm in Florence again.

This is a great dive in Northern Kentucky. Located inside of a house with tricky parking (park behind the building for the easiest parking situation) with an entrance off of a deck. Be warned this location allows smoking, and you can certainly tell. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you will likely not enjoy this place. The decor is cluttered and honestly charming. I love a bar with character and this place for the bill. The drinks are cheap and the service was attentive. I was worried that a neighborhood place like this would be unwelcoming to a new face but did not find this to be the case. I'd return next time I was in Northern Kentucky.

Small, local bar where everyone is welcoming and enjoyable to be around. The bartenders are especially nice.

Had a late flight into CVG on a Sunday night. Wanted to grab a drink and food. Only to realize it is pretty much a ghost town after 9pm on a Sunday. So happy I drove right by Irene's on the way to another place that claimed to be open until 2am which they were not. So turned around to go back to Irene's and it was just what we needed after a flight. Casual and cozy bar with cold cheap drinks and great late night snacks. Get the wings! Curtis the bartender was amazing! Thanks again for your hospitality !! Will definitely be back if ever in the area!

Poor wine selection. Your site said was a wine bar.Server was impolite when we asked for more selections.

Went to Irenes this evening for the umteenth time with my service dog, but was not able to enter because the owner "Chris" was there. I have a service dog and he denied us access. I have been there multiple times before without incident. I have MS and my dog is my comfort and my service animal. Unfortunately this evening I did not have my paperwork with me, but by law CHRIS is not allowed to ask. So in the future I do not recommend this location. I want to give zero stars but unfortunatly Yelp wont makes me give at least 1.

Smoking permitted. It smelled absolutely awful. I couldn't stay there for a second, and my clothes wreaked afterwards
