The only thing positive about this location is that it has a pond and has that "vintage" look that is becoming normal amongst random owners who like to convert old barns, buildings, etc. into wedding venues yet barely know how to run nor care about the weddings they do. One particular staff member I believe name is Travis as well as the wife, are at the center of all the issues for both vendors and wedding couples.Throughout the evening Travis interrupted my set trying to tell me what the clients wanted when I'm the one that is in constant communication with them before and during the event, trying to tell me things that the couple want that I knew they didn't. He caused dead air time by having me leave my post to confirm details that were not true.He also was extremely rude to the bride and groom and their parents, and became extremely hostile towards me with a variety of threats (none which meant anything to me but a lot to him) because I wanted to accommodate the bride, groom, and parents with a small amount of extra time (30 minutes) for their wedding day. Shortly after the angry manchild Travis approaches the stage with hostility, which lead to the event ending with me letting everyone know that the venue needs to shut down. It's also worth noting that many of this venue's Yelp reviews express the same experience of incredible rudeness from staff. The venue did not care about their big day, and were not willing to sacrifice 30 minutes with extra pay to make the couple and their families happy. This venue literally only cares about volume (number) of weddings and not quality (one of Travis bragging points when being hostile was reporting on number of weddings the venue did that weekend, which was modest at best) they are strictly in it for short term gains. Also the venue has terrible electricity and outlets. The ceremony was almost ruined completely by the venue because the outlets they said they had prior to the event kept tripping, and literally only one speaker was being used. All in all this is an awful venue especially for vendors and I highly recommend people to look elsewhere for a venue that will actually take extra steps to make your wedding special. There are PLENTY of venues that are superior in every aspect and those venues should be the ones earning your money, not these money hungry people.

This place is wonderful. We attended probably the best wedding ever. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and stylishly decorated. The catering was delicious. The staff were helpful, upbeat and made for an all around great time. Five stars, for sure.

We attended a Wedding and reception during which there was constant rain....The wedding and activities went on as planned thanks to the set up and site crew considering the circumstances. The campus offers not only a wedding environment but one for corporate retreats. The on site amenities, the views and the Historic structures are one of a kind.

I recently had my wedding here, and everything done by Travis and Michelle exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful Ohio River this locale overlooks to the rustic partially-restored train station, to the intricate 19th Century details inside the main house, Inn at Oneonta exudes personality that may only be found in an historic heritage site. Furthermore, the place may look old but definitely does not smell old. Folks who frequently go to historical bed & breakfasts know what I'm talking about.Customers may host everything from weddings to family gatherings, or even weekend parties at this house. There are ample seating, outdoors grill, a full kitchen inside the house with enough bedrooms to accommodate 6+ couples. To round out the offering, there's also a guest house for additional entertainment/lounging space, and a stage with a large dance floor. The only catch is that events must use Inn at Oneonta's in-house caterer. Thankfully, Travis and Michelle are more than capable of delivering an exciting menu to please discerning tastes. We chose their prime rib, which was cooked to the perfect doneness (crispened and slightly caramelized exterior with spice rub while still pink in the middle), cod loin, and Mediterranean chicken with capers. Their cous cous and pesto pasta were the perfect starches. They can also provide with tents, seating, as well as options for decorations. For less official events, they can provide disposable plates. For weddings, they can provide actual china dinnerware. Of course, they also offer a good selection of alcohol for those who want to liven things up a bit.All in all, Inn at Oneonta is the perfect location for a variety of occasions.

I was a guest at a wedding. The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff assisted me without complaining. If the lummox (sorry sweetie) ever proposes, I would want to book my reception here.

My cousin had a wedding there. Thet went to check it out and they gave them amazing tasters but we stayed overnight, it was hot and humid and the AC did not actually work. The owners were nasty and overcharged us for "miscellaneous" misshaps. What the heck???!!! Bottomline: The place is amazing but the people will get your money if you get married there! They were not fair at all.

The management is completely horrible and they allowed a wedding I went to be without power for over 45 minutes! Not to mention that the toilets didn't flush during this time with an event of 200 people. Not only that but they decide to tell the bride she was 'stupid and immature' because of her wedding ideas! He should be FIRED. I'm absolutely appalled he still has a job after treating customers this way!!!

There is a reason this place does not have an FB page-- too many negative posts. The owner, Travis, is EXTREMELY rude. Beautiful venue. But the food (you're required to use their caterer) is mediocre at best and if it rains you're screwed. Go elsewhere.

HORRIBLE management, completely unprofessional. I was recently in the wedding party at a wedding here, and the staff insulted the bride, telling her that her decoration ideas were stupid. Then, the power went out for 45 minutes during the reception, they clearly did not have adequate back up generators. During this time, the toilets in the bathroom did not flush, it was disgusting. Not only did the staff not compensate the bride and groom for this mistake that they did not fix promptly, but they also charged them extra for "clean up fees" and refused to take responsibility for the power going out. This place is a money pit, go elsewhere.

Our daughter and son-in-law were married here and it was by far the best, most beautiful, and extremely well run venue. The beauty of the venue overall is amazing, overlooking the Ohio river, the historic inn, the train station, chapel, outdoor reception area for dancing under the stars all made it so enchantingly beautiful. Michelle and Travis and their team had it all organized and the food was the best we've ever had at a wedding. Our family and friends raved about the entire event. Thank you for making our day so special!!
