We were looking for something close by and we found this place. When we got there it was sort of empty. However, it took a good minute before we got to seat, the lady at the counter was just standing there while we waiting to be seated. We placed our order pretty quick since we only wanted two rolls. We got the JTB and the dynamite roll. It took about 40 min to ge the food. The rolls were okay nothing too espectacular and honestly their menu was not too big. Not sure if we will go back.

Good sushi! They had a nice variety of selection to choose from. I like that they didn't over stuff the rolls with rice. Only complaint is the fried specialty rolls were a little underdone and the batter was not cool all the way. Great service!

Affordable, quality sashimi and sushi. Great, friendly service in a very cozy and comfortable place! A lot of the nigiri is half price and their Chirashi bowl/plate was excellent. So excited that they also open until late at night, it's hard to sometimes find a restaurant that is open past 9pm in Mason! We will definitely be returning.

I am visiting from out of town and my aunt and uncle took me here. The decor is beautiful and the restaurant is very clean. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. They were even able to accommodate my gluten allergy and had gluten free soy sauce. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend their million dollar roll. Even the music they had playing was very nice. Definitely worth a visit!

Welp here we go, these are not my favorite kind of reviews, but this is my experience and am truly bummed about it.Somethings to think about first, If Sushi is your first love of food, I personally would not recommended this place for you. If you have a lot of experience with sushi, you will notice the quality of the fish right away.But what do I know, you might love this place! I just would not recommend it to any of my sushi loving friends. Maybe I am missing something or we came on a bad night, it happens. I came here with my husband for dinner and were so excited to have sushi. We read the yelp reviews and thought this would be right up our alley as we are sushi lovers!First impression was, there was hardly anyone here but our server was super friendly so we brushed it off.We were excited to explore the menu and everything looked great but did notice they do use quite a bit of "stick crab" in much of their rolls. Now there's nothing wrong with that is just something I personally don't enjoy a lot of. We ordered Gyoza, Cherry Blossom roll, Million Dollar roll, Rainbow roll and a Spicy Yellowtail roll.The plates looked beautiful but unfortunately we did not enjoy the sushi. Fish did not taste fresh, texture was on the slimy side the Million Dollar roll was the worst as far as freshness and quality, even the pickled ginger was on the brown side. That's sounds like a petty nitpick I know but I love my ginger especially with sushi. The Cherry Blossom roll was the better of them all. We were really disappointed and wanted to like this place but sadly we will not becoming back for their sushi. We may come back and try their non sushi dishes as the pictures on their website looked good.Also just an FYI there are two locations. So please do not get this review mixed up with the Cincinnati location. With that said we are actually looking to try the Cincinnati location just incase it might be better and we don't want to miss out.

Fun fact: I'm not the biggest fan of the Ichiban in Mt. Lookout. Their service is slow and their food is only adequate. If I feel that way, why did I choose to visit their Mason location? It was a matter of convenience, really. I was in the area and wanted sushi, and decided to give their other restaurant a shot.This Ichiban is located in a strip mall on the corner of Snider & Tylersville. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it looks and can accommodate large parties. The first time I went, I was seated promptly with a friend and we dove into the menu. My friend recently moved to Cincinnati from San Diego, so one thing she's getting used to is our "half-price" sushi. Yes, the fact that it's always half priced makes no sense. But we enjoy the sense of a bargain in Ohio!We sampled the menu - gyoza, edamame, and karaage were our appetizers. They came out one at a time and we enjoyed every last bite of it.We each ordered 2 rolls, and I also added some salmon sashimi since that's my absolute favorite. All the sushi was delicious and delivered promptly. The food was so good and inexpensive that I came back for lunch the very next week! They offer a lunch special of 3 rolls plus soup & salad for $9.99. What a steal!The sushi is fresh, the prices are great, and it's never too busy in Ichiban Mason. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area!

So I came in here from the recommendation of my massage therapist. So I stopped in with my BFF, and I have to say the food was amazing. Hands down some of the best sushi and Japanese food in the west Chester area. I did give five stars but while I was there I seen 2 people come in and leave because no one was available at the front desk to seat them. I really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. I will be back again.

So so so disappointed in this place. We used to come here all the time because it's close to home. We stopped coming here because of how long it usually takes. Well, on a limb, we decided to get it another try. And back to disappointment. The sushi rolls were so thick with cream cheese it was hard to eat. The "spicy" pad thai had absolutely no sauce on it. No eggs. Just plain noodles and 5 pieces of broccoli. Way too pricey for the quality.
