Hunan House Buffet

Since the remodel the quality of food has been better in my opinion. I agree 3 years ago from most of the old reviews the quality was down drastically. It is worth giving another try if it's been awhile

The food here is about average for a takeout place. What's lacking is the attention to detail.I had ordered the Mongolian beef with white rice, and it came with wonton soup and two egg rolls. They only gave me one egg roll, which cold and stale, and a single crab Rangoon, also cold and stale. The wonton soup was fine but they neglected to give me any utensils.The biggest problem was with the Mongolian beef: when they bagged it, they didn't secure the lid. When I opened the bag, the juice/sauce has spilled out all over everything and filled the bag, even seeped out and got on my laptop and mouse. Two many times I've had my delivery done wrong and/or the food been less-than-stellar. I think I'll be looking for a new takeout place.

Please do not eat here. I decided to give this place a try, even after reading a few of the reviews. Yikes! I don't think any of the meat was actually meat. The noodles were all hard. There were 2 inch layers of gel substance on the top of the soups. Even the pudding was crunchy. I am pretty sure we will all have some sort of rot gut tomorrow. The only reason this has one star is because you can't give a zero. Came out of that place smelling like hunan punan. Actually, the only edible thing from there is the fortune cookies.

I read the yelp reviews but decided to give this place a try anyway....big mistake! I walk in and give the waitress my drink order then proceed to the buffet. I watch as a customer takes his HAND and peels off the cheese from the top of crab meat and push it to the side of the container. My mouth drops and the waitress sees the disgust on my face. I take a plate and start spooning broccoli on to my plate watching how she is going to handle the situation. She stands next to the man and waits for him to move on, then takes the ladle and moves the cheese he scrapped off with his hand back in with the crab meat and stir it back in with the rest of the food contaminating the whole pan. I say aloud "No!!" She looks at me and says "what's wrong?" I say he used his hand to remove that cheese you just mixed in with the rest of the food! I dump my broccoli and say I'm sorry, I can't eat here. I left immediately. If they do that in front of their customers, I have no idea how they handle food behind the scenes. I will NEVER go here. I should have listened to the reviews.

Ordered on Seamlessweb at 8:50pm. Got a text at 9:20pm that my order was delayed. Got a text at 10pm that my order was cancelled. Awful.

I only order take out or get buffet food. The customer service table side will leave A LOT to be desired. Patience is definitely required when dining in. However! The food is awesome!!!!!! The butter shrimp is probably my favorite dish. It comes a little heavy in the butter department, you can request to have less. It may take a couple times to get the request to be understood, but not a big deal.I've never had a dish here I didn't enjoy.

I kind of thought my take out order of sesame chicken might have been tender and delicious. When I got the order home and unpacked it I discovered that my take out order of sesame chicken was tough as leather, stringy but otherwise ... unchewably flavorful. (The sauce does wonders.). The complimentary fortune cookies were a little "Old"-tasting, the fried noodles tasted of some kind of grease and all this for a mere $15 plus a few odd cents for two people.I remember when this place opened it was wonderful.I am not going back.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered chicken fried rice and two egg rolls. i knew the egg rolls werent anything special but not as good as last time. the chicken fried rice was the worst I've ever had. the rice wasn't cooked all the way. same with the peas. i thought I was eating soggy croutons but realized it was the chicken. I called them and he blamed it on door dash. I only ordered it again because the are a close local business but I will never order from them again

As a long time patron my family and I have been longtime customers of Hunan House. Unfortunately, recently, the level of service has slipped dramatically. We like out Chinese food spicy, but ordering spicy the last too times it was too spicy to eat. The coup de gras was ordering 2 egg rolls and a small hot and sour soup to go. Was told 15 minutes. A 15 minute drive and 30 minutes later, I was still waiting as were several other people who had been waiting quite a while. Worse case they could have gotten 2 egg rolls and the soup from the buffet and it would have been done 2 minutes.Lastly, the young man answering the phone needs to speak up. it is difficult to hear him and understand what he's saying.After many years of being a patron - I am done. No more.

Good basic Americanized Chinese menu. Everything has great flavor, which is something you can't always count on. Some of the best hot and sour soup in the area. Good prices and friendly service.
