Huffies BBQ

I was traveling and driving throughout Dayton and ran into one of my old spots that i would visit In the 90s. Because I was in the neighborhood I order rib tips, Mac and cheese and Greene beans with a corn muffin. I'm sorry to say that it wasn't like the old school Huffie's. The rib tips were not even eatable. It was with all bones or fat. The green beans had little flavor and corn muffin wasn't edible.

Oh --- grandma huffie. You do bbq right. Ribs by the slabSweet potatah pie by the slice (and hell ya, there's lard in the crust)The employees and customers have always been very nice to me, even though I'm jus' a lil' white girl in the hood, looking for some good bbq. This place is a well kept secret that I've kept for 20 years...I figure it's about time to spread the gospel.p.s. the neighborhood is slightly on the sketchy side and I wouldn't recommend frequenting the joint at night (if it is even open at night).

Been around as long as I've been alive... Mom and pop joint with soul cooking. Takes some time so have a seat. Otherwise, it doesn't get bette than this. Family owned and operated.

I went to this restaurant today because of previous yelp comments. They would not come to the register to take my order. A few other customers ( there were 3 in the store) told them multiple times I was there but they would not come to the front although I could see them. I waited 15 minutes and left. Very unhappy!!!

Well this was unfortunate. Sorry to discover the restaurant looked permanently closed. :(

There Mack and cheese is unbelievable. Best I've ever had so good.
