A local hang out and always a good choice for breakfast or lunch. The service is fast and efficient and they always have a smile to greet you.We are a variety of typical breakfast items like biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs and sides. I loved that their fruit side wasn't canned but fresh fruit - a big plus for us fruit lovers!We often go here or meet up with others for breakfast as they open early (rare actually for a breakfast spot to be open by 6), and because no matter what we get for breakfast it is good.Definitely worth a try!

We really like coming here for breakfast on Saturday's. They have great skillets and also a chili cheese 1 egg omelette that my wife likes. It's a very interesting choice for chili on an omelette but I recommend you try it!Also, the polish sausage is quite good.

Fast, friendly service, real food cooked quickly . Large portions for reasonable price. I always have breakfast food but lunch looks great as well. I am also gluten free and seem to do well here. We are regulars at this point

I'm a regular here. The place is frequented by cops which is always a good sign.. The service is always good. As the name implies pancakes and crepes are their specialty. My wife once craved spinach and mushroom crepes and they accommodated a special order. The rest of the menu is not trendy but they do the basics well. I usually get an omelette. They can come with grits, which are good or hash browns. I'm sharing a picture of perfectly golden brown hash browns from a recent visit. They are always good, a little on the crispy side but these were exceptional!

Standard pancake joint. Not bad.Big portions tho. That's nice.If you're going for quantity, this is the place.Not any 'fancy' coffee options. Black coffee... that's it.Good service. Quick turnaround.

This is our go to breakfast place and I am shocked I have never reviewed it before. It's almost like one of those comfort places that becomes so regular that you forget to review I think. We love Hotcake Emporium. The food is fantastic. Best chicken noodle soup in the world, no joke! And the prices are great! Run do not walk here when you need some good grub!

The service & atmosphere was great as was the root beer ( still the recipe from Edwards). Unfortunately both my partner & I found the food while plentiful very bland & tasteless. As an example my awesome partner has biscuits & gravy. Not only was it fairly tasteless but you could still taste the flour in the gravy as it wasn't mixed well enough. So as I said not horrible but disappointing.

Our waitress was so nice and hung around to share a funny story with us about a lady that ordered a cinnamon roll and then was too full to finish the middle (the best part!!). She saw my husband saving the middle and got worried I think. xD No worries as it was a great cinnamon roll and he happily finished it. He also loved his breakfast take on a monte cristo. The pancakes were good but not great. Could have been fluffier & hotter but were still tasty. The dining space can be a little hard to navigate, especially in the winter with coats, because of close seating but it wasn't too bad. Just be careful scooting out your chair. All in all, would definitely make a return trip! There was plenty on the menu we wanted to try.

We were visiting my nephew who played his last football game at home for UIndy and he suggested this place and what a great place to eat! All 9 of us had nothing bad to say! And our service was top notch by Louisa!!! Could never get a better server ever!! Thank you for such a great way to end our weekend and we will be back!

Ordered half order of biscuits and gravy with hash browns and a side of sausage patties. The food was barely warm. Sent it back to the kitchen where they proceeded to just add more gravy which was lukewarm at best.
