Liquor store close to the hotel I was staying at. Just wanted a night cap and sit out at the patio at the hotel. So walked up and had exactly what I wanted. The guy was super friendly behind the counter.I did notice the great bourbon selections.

I would recommend any other liquor store in the area before I recommended here. I was just there tonight (5/31/24 - 6/1/24). This place left me feeling uncomfortable and I wasn't even the one patronizing the store. (Another party was and I happened to be the driver) I'm sharing a photo with an x marking the spot in where I parked. I'm an Uber driver, 27, and drove a grown woman to this shop. I picked her up at her home & her plan was to grab a drink and head back home since other stores were already closed near her in Ohio. We pulled in at 1:45 am. I parked in the corner away from the other cars so she could get in and out easier because parking is tight. She went in. I could hear some man yelling something when we pulled in but I didn't really pay attention to him. He's posted up by the door on a barstool drinking something out of a plastic cup. He starts staggering towards my car yelling something, my windows are up and I'm minding my business on my phone. I figured he was peddling something, I didn't want to get into a conversation. He gives up trying to get my attention and stumbled back to his barstool. apparently he's "security" or the lot attendant but I didn't know, nor was I trying to figure out who's around at this hour. Well, my rider came back to my car and walked up to my window and said can you move up to the front of the lot, he was trying to get your attention to move your car and they won't sell me anything until you do. Excuse me, what?! You won't sell anything to the woman because I'm parked where you don't want me to be? That doesn't make any sense. So I move up so she can go back inside and make her purchase. She was held up just for that... I don't know if it's a late night practice or what but it definitely showed how their business is ran and I will not shop there. I don't know why it matters. I could finally understand him being parked near him. I Just sat and watched him. He was slumped over on his stool, probably drunk, yelling at other drivers to park to the left of the door if they wanted service at the liquor store. Be weary of going here, especially at night.

If you're banking on a business to provide quality service during the hours they post on their front door, I implore you to drive just a few blocks to the neighboring Big Daddy's. I have yet to visit Holiday House during their later hours (hours they have set themselves) without having the front door locked ahead of time, usually in the face of minority clientele. This is the only one star review I have posted, and it has been well-earned.

Like Karina mentioned in her review, this is a convenient store for running in quickly, with plenty of parking. Of course the prices are not going to compare to those of Party Source, but the store has a good selection, it's clean and it's a lot easier to get in and out of quickly.

I have been to store many times, and i usually talk to one of the employees and have my car parked at their location to go to levy. As far as the prices are concerned they are low, i have been to other stores but they are pricey, you can be in the store and look around with no eyes on you, especially when i was on other liquor stores employees will have eyes all around you assuming you to be a store lifter, but these guys are cool honest, friendly. I would suggest this store for all of my friends and now a days are prices are low you can check them out.

Filled with Newport's "finest" characters, Holiday House is conveniently located across from the Levee. They've got most standard liquor store offerings--Jack Daniels, Miller Light, box wine--but if you're looking for less common booze you're better off heading down the street to Party Source.Holiday House is more about convenience. Party Source can be a daunting shopping experience if you're in a hurry, so by popping into Holiday House you can often save yourself some headaches (unless you're behind a dude buying lottery tickets). This place stays open until at least 2 am on the weekends, so stock up before the bars close.

This is a quick place with easy parking to pick up a few drinks on your way home from the Levee. The cliental are kind of shady and the staff is usually kind of rude though occasionally I can engage one or the other in small talk when I'm bored. They used to offer drive through service but a Greek restaurant occupied part of the space for a time and then relocated to Downtown Cincinnati. If you think this is a great place to park your car for Levee entertainment, think again. The lot is regularly patrolled and you will be ticketed/towed.

Typically on the weekends I'm a patron of the sports bar adjacent called Game Time. Recently, I've noticed the manager or owner of Holiday House standing in the parking lot telling people to move their vehicles if they're not coming into the store. Last night, I was in Game Time with my friend, and the owner/manager of the liquor store came in with a note pad and was asking customers which vehicles were theirs so that he could possibly have them removed from the parking lot if they weren't in the store. As a paying customer of Game Time, being harassed inside while we're eating and drinking about which cars belong to us is ridiculous. I guess this is how foreigners think business is conducted in this country. Unfortunately this wasn't the first time either. On several other occasions I and other people were questioned as to which cars were ours. One night I was told I couldn't park here even after spending a large amount of money inside Game Time then walked across the street to the Hofbrauhaus to say hello to a friend. So I sat in my car while this manager/owner kept telling me to move. Then he tried to get a Newport Police officer to get me to move and the officer just looked at him like he was an idiot. Forget this cr@ppy place and go literally about 200 yards East and get your liquor from Big Daddy's [401 Central Ave, Newport, KY 41071]This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen a store do. I would never recommend this place. Ever.
