Where do begin, below is a breakdown: -very difficult to locate-did not identify or welcome me as a Diamond member - later told it was because I did not check in through app prior-claims dog friendly but does not show it - dogs are to be transported from room to outside only by stairwell - difficult when they put you on 3rd floor and your dog is elderly (equivalent of 5 floors between lobby, room floors, and bottom level of parking garage) - only "green" area for dogs to walk is covered in rocks with a deep ravine right next to parking garage - food is good but pricey and app shows breakfast as complimentary but you actually have to pay. - no rolling bed when requested- locked thermostat controls. Preset with 72 as standard at end of July ( 5 people in one room got pretty hot with no help from AC) - desk clerk demanded to follow to room when used cart to carry luggage with statement of "she had to make sure it was returned" - not sure how confident I am on cleaning given my one child with bad allergies didn't have any reaction at all until he was in hotel room for more than 10 minutes Long and short, if you can avoid staying in the city that's best if booking with Hilton. Also, if traveling with pets I recommend Embassy Suites if you have to go with Hilton brand. Avoid Hilton Garden Inn.

Nice newer hotel not too far from downtown and Xavier. Julia greeted us. She's friendly and professional. Parking was free and convenient to the entrance. Room was clean and spacious. We had the king Jr suite. Although there was no bedding for the sofa bed, called Julia and she kindly and expeditiously sent some up. Overall, the hotel itself is excellent. However, to get to the hotel we drove through a fairly rundown neighborhood. The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from said area. While we did not feel unsafe, that night there were lots of fireworks and gunshots. Holiday weekend. Unfortunately didn't bring earplugs so had a sleepless night ahead of a long drive.
