Heartland Homemade Ice cream

Cornbread Ice Cream!I have been looking for Cornbread Ice Cream since I had it in Puerto Rico. My bestie sent me this place that's 10 mins away from my house. The ladies who were working were so nice. I tried the cornbread and lemon cream cookie, both are so good. I got the lemon for my husband and his words were, "this is FANTASTIC", so I know we'll be coming here a lot. Cute little place where you can sit and enjoy or ice cream or grab it and go. A lot of different choices plus they change their menu frequently for more tasty options. If you're looking for a different kind of flavor, Heartland may be the place for you.

I finally stopped in heartland after passing by for months I was in the mood for homemade ice cream. It's a small shop located directly next to Papa John's. I was greeted by a very nice lady (maybe the owner) and placed my order for an ice cream flight ( 4 flavors, whipped cream, and waffle cone triangles) I love a sampler/charcuterie board so the flight was right up my alley! I got the banana chip, lemon cookie, raspberry chip and something else I can't remember at the moment. The ice cream was good. The banana chip was my favorite. It was full of banana flavor and paired well with the waffle cone. The whipped cream tasted chemical-y. Not my favorite .but I would definitely go back next time I'm in the mood. Customer service is A-1!

Even though they've been open for a few months, this was my first time stopping in. We stopped in on a Sunday around 2:45 and it was fairly busy. The service was great, but I think they were owners. They took the time to ask everyone their thoughts on the flavors. It's pretty cozy on the inside, but there are a few tables so you can eat inside. They have about 12 flavors to choose from plus a few more dairy-free flavors. I had the coffee cookie ice cream in a cone. It was delicious and the coffee flavor was just right. If you can't decide, they do have a flight so you can try 4 different flavors.

We had such a nice visit to this place today. My husband got strawberry and said it had nice sized chunks of real strawberries in it. I got the s'mores and the banana with caramel chip flavors. I so appreciate a banana ice cream that tastes like real bananas and not banana artificial flavoring. The s'mores was SO good. Such great service too. The scooper offered me a taste of their coming soon pumpkin and it will be a hit for sure. Tasted exactly like homemade pumpkin pie. We hadn't planned on eating there but it was super cute and inviting so we ended up there for 30 minutes. Enjoyed our ice cream and then just had a chat in the cutest place. We will be back for sure.

Amazingly creamy and delicious flavors... we all gave the cornbread ice cream a try and it was surprisingly delicious. I was a little sad I couldn't try the black licorice, maybe next time. I had the butter pecan and to my delight, was actually buttery. Friendly service and plenty of place to sit inside for our little group.

Fantastic new ice cream spot on the south side. Friendly staff and the best ice cream around. We tried the blueberry cheesecake and lemon cream cookie. I can't wait to try more flavors.

Do your self a favor and try this place, took my family and we were all very satisfied!! Very friendly folks! Highly recommend

The ice cream was so good you can tell it's high quality. The vibe was so chill and nice. The best flavor that we tried was definitely peanut butter

Wow! This is an ice cream store that is worth the premium price. I was skeptical at first, but hands down the best ice cream I've ever had. There are free samples, but all the flavors are excellent. Don't be afraid of the Cornbread flavor - it was the best of the four flavors. The staff is friendly and patient. They have gluten free and dairy free options as well.I will definitely be returning with the entire family!

1st time there, visiting from Rochester NY. Ice cream very smooth and creamy. Got the pumpkin and lemon cookie. The pumpkin tastes just like a homemade pumpkin pie filling before being baked and the lemon had just enough twang to know you were eating lemon. Would definitely be going back.People very friendly and let me taste before buying.small,medium and large cups but lots there.
