Harvest Mobile Cuisine

Had the.... dubious pleasure of trying Harvest at a food truck rally. Unfortunately, it took me about 40 minutes to get to try their food.Quicker run down: Waited in line to put an order in, finally got to the front, put in an order for a single Land and Sea BLT slider. It seemed like the perfect little compliment to the bbq plate my GF and I had split, a nice little piece of salmon and fresh high quality bacon. Couldn't ask for more right?After they swipe my card they let me know it'll be about a 20 minute wait. I would have left had they not already taken my money.It wasn't twenty minutes. They lost my ticket, along with the one for the couple in front of me. As I said, I got my food about 35 minutes after I placed my order, after the initial wait. I get it that mistakes happen, but had the couple in front of me not said anything they never would have even noticed, and they offered absolutely nothing to make up for it. A brief "sorry" was all they managed. And I get it, like you'reworking a rally and you're standing in this metal box over a hot stove and it SUCKS. But so does waiting outside that box while you pump out delicious meals and none of it makes it my way because of a mistake.It was a good BLT though.... Small, like very small. Flavorful, rich, and very high quality. I'd order it again, but only while eating something else, or a few days in advance.

Yes!! Just do it! I tried Harvest while at Artfest in Beavercreek. I decided to try the walleye taco special and also ordered a side of fries. I liked that the truck had some healthier option. The fish was crusted in walnuts and delicious. I liked that it was on a corn tortilla and there were so many flavors!! Cilantro and yum!! Seriously, fantastic fish taco. The fries were a mix of sweet potato and russet potatoes but they were seasoned with fresh herbs. Hands down best fries ever, especially from a food truck. After I finished my lunch, I wished I had more!

The hubby and I were lucky enough last Saturday when Harvest Mobile Cuisine was parked in the Costco parking lot - and we had not really eaten anything. We opted to try the forager poutine. We were not disappointed - it came with sweet potato and regular fries, cheese curds, 'shrooms and a really nice 'shroom sauce. I was definitely happy with it, it was a good size for us to share without filling us up too much. If I had one critique is that the sauce was bordering salty - but honestly, we ate EVERY bite. I would love to try other items on their menu. They all sound really good.

We hired Harvest Mobile to cater our wedding reception for about 130 people. I am STILL getting compliments about how wonderful the appetizers, meal, and desserts (cobbler) were. Our outdoor venue was a bit tricky to work with and on top of that we wanted dinner served a specific way. Patrick let us know the obstacles, but in the end pulled it off flawlessly. If you're looking to stay away from typical, bland "wedding food," check out Harvest Mobile! Another bonus is they get as much ingredients locally as possible. Not only does that make it fresh, but it helped us feel better about spending money knowing it was going back into the local economy.

The food was amazing! Patrick really knows what he's doing! We hired the truck for our reception for 125 people, and everyone was raving about the food. He brought extra people to help with serving drinks as well. Patrick was easy to work with- we talked through the menu a few times, he offered a tasting, and he was very flexible! I'm still dreaming about those brussel sprouts, the falafel, and the salmon BLT!!! Thanks again Patrick!
