Called to see if they could arrange for me to purchase a side or 1/4 of beef, got no clear cut answers from them at all, they apparently aren't interested in conducting business to the retail consumer.

We have been doing business with Harmon's for decades. I'm picky about how our bovine are treated. They've never even been subjected to an electric cattle prod. In peak season there may be carcass parts visible waiting on disposal. It's a processing plant. They can't keep them indoors. Customer service.....you get what you give. Myself, I have never had an issue with their customer service or their crew. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

The customer service was not good and unprofessional. Also they tortured the animals before they killed them. And they are being investigated by animal welfare groups , please reconsider supporting this business.

Your experience begins with driving around dead, decaying, and bloated animals in the parking lot. Alleyways to the kill floor are packed with mountains of poop that looks like it's never cleaned. Dead animals inside the holding pens. Workers smoking on the kill floor (which is just one open door over from where your meat is getting cut and also the same room that your carcasses hang waiting to be weighed). The entire building smells rotten and the odor of stale smoke. Anyone and everyone can walk through the room where the meat is getting broke down and packaged. They've been shut down by the USDA so many times for different issues. Organization is horrible and your meat is identified by a piece of paper and tape (we all know how well that freezes and stays). Other customers boxes loaded into my vehicle by their workers. Who knows if I've ever gotten all my products back. Vacuum sealed packages are rarely sealed all the way. Make sure when you pay that they mark down on your receipt that it's paid and the check number (because they'll probably come back later and say that you didn't pay). Use at your own risk. Don't let convenience be the reason why you go there.
