Halal Homestyle Chili And Bourbon Chicken

This is a staple of my downtown work days. Good food and the proprietor is very friendly. He will offer recommendations and samples and is very warm and kind. That is sometimes enough to make my day. Old style service is hard to find. Food is good. I typically order the large Bourbon Chicken with half and half spicy rice and potatoes or red beans. Don't be dismayed that this is in the basement of Talbot Tower. It's a good choice! Support your local businesses and pay a visit!

"Best food in an office building basement in downtown Dayton." Owner is super nice and gave me a sample of the char-grilled bourbon chicken, and I liked it. Ordered a large of that with spicy rice (which was not too spicy at all!) and red beans. A good and hearty meal. Portion size about perfect - not too big, not small. Tasty and very fairly priced. I carried out, but you can eat inside. I think it's drab, but quiet and looked clean!

Well, here's another hidden gem in Dayton!We didn't stay and eat here, but we may in the future. The employee in the front was very friendly and polite. When he found out it was our first time visiting the restaurant, he gave us samples of a couple items before we chose what we wanted.The to-go size containers are very different between the small and large. Though I really just wanted the spicy rice and bourbon chicken, the large size is almost a double portion of the small size... And you get one more side. I recommend the large size! ...it was way too much food for one sitting... I had enough leftover to make two small portions of lunch for work! (I'm not complaining about "too much food, by the way)!I'm not usually someone who likes a lot of sauce or anything much poured over my rice, but the combination of those three items was heavenly.Heck yes, I'll be back and will order that again! I am excited to try the other menu items too, but our lunch today was a real winner.

This place is a hidden gem. The bourbon chicken with spicy rice is delicious. I'm docking them a star because the place isn't the cleanest and the location sucks. It's in a dark dingy basement off the beaten path. The tables are always sticky but that doesn't stop me from eating here. If I'll put up with that then it means the food is totally worth it! The employees are super nice and the food always tastes fresh and hot. Prices are reasonable and I usually have leftovers. If you work downtown this is a great place to walk to for lunch.

One of the best lunch places in dayton downtown. Its a small beaten old ppace but the food is amazing. Limited menu but well worth it ... my fav Blackened Chicken ...

2nd time eating here This week.Head downstairs back in time. Places is dated to say the least but in good condition. The bourbon chicken, Cajun fries and spicy rice. Had twice. Excellent for food served in Styrofoam container in a casual setting. Six co workers also like the food.For what I expect it it is a great place. Hope he adapts to more business coming in.

Good place to eat, always fresh vegetables and many choices. Spicy rice and beans are great.

Hey I'm from Cincinnati Ohio and I was in Dayton gotta say pretty good food better than regular Chinese spot another good thing is that it Halaal I love it not bad prices might be in the basement and it didn't you look in place but I hate the quality of the food was amazing anytime I'm in Dayton I'll be sure to stop by there again. You're also very kind gave me samples and even gave me a free drink shout out to this place keep it going

Great food. Wonderful friendly service. Very relaxing atmosphere. A definite gem in Downtown Dayton.
