I have only played nine holes of golf three times in my life, two of which came a few years back at a Tri-County area par 3 course then known as the Tri-County Golf Ranch. I did not think that highly of the Golf Ranch, seeing that it was just some dinky little par 3 nine-hole course (even though it kicked my butt), but looking back I can now appreciate it a bit more. The Cincinnati Enquirer rated the Golden Tee @ Tri-County "The Best Practice Facility," and it really is a great place. It is easy to compare it to the much larger and fancier courses and see that it does not amount to much in terms of size and difficulty, but in reality it is a great place. Although it is a small nine-hole course, it is a great place for beginners, and scenic too with four lakes. I know if I played there more, it would be a lot easier to get better on this par 3 course with three sets of tees than to go to some much larger and trickier course. Even for the non-beginner, the par 3 course is a nice place to tone your skills "and challenging enough for scratch golfers," while there is also a 9,500 square foot putting green, a driving range, and a practice sand bunker. Driving, putting, and chipping are the basic fundamentals of golf, but to get good you have to practice, and that is what the Golden Tee is about. Greens fees and buckets of balls for the driving range are very reasonable. The Tri-County course also offers year-round programs for players of all ages and abilities and even for families too. Golden Tee also has a somewhat small pro shop with a friendly staff, while they recently opened a new miniature golf course. Rain or shine, summer or winter, the Golden Tee at Tri-County is indeed a great practice facility, and an overall nice little course.

What a hidden gem Golden Tee @ Tri-County is. It really has something to offer for everyone. A miniature golf course for the kids, a driving range and huge short game area for the aspiring golfers, and a great par 3 for the family and beginners. I was very surprised to see how nice the facility was kept and the changes that were being made since my last visit there a year or so back. They now have new driving range mats, new golf balls, and are starting a fully stocked pro shop. I went out to play the par 3 on my visit as well and was very surprised how nice the course was this early in the season. Definitely a great place to sharpen up the game for the season and really work on those 175 yard and in shots. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

This business has been taken over by new owners as of March 2014. Buying a coupon from this website will not support the current owners, The money will go to the previous owners you still have an account on Yelp. Please do not buy a coupon from yelp for this business. They were kind enough to accept mine, but they did not get a penny. A big scam and the old owners are still cashing in. Yelp should do the right thing and take this deal down.
