We had Graeter's twice on our trip--the first time after our Skyline Chili dinner at this location and the second the next day when we were at Kings Island. It's pretty good ice cream and is apparently a Cincy institution, so we're glad we gave it a go.The Ludlow location is pretty sad looking since it looks like you just walked into some random shop and lacks that "We serve ice cream and we are happy about it!" vibe. It's sort of just beige and depressing. Service also does not come with a smile.Good thing the cold stuff is yummy! Our daughter got their chocolate brownie (very skimpy portion even for kids) and the flavor was deep, dark, and delicious. One of us got a cup with their famous black raspberry chip and the cherry chip. What's amazing about the chips is 1) they are gargantuan (it's like the spoon is an excavator) and 2) they are soft and chewy, which makes them novel, so they kind of just melt in your mouth. We're fans. And the fruit flavors were spot on! The other one of us got half buckeye blitz (yes! so good! OHIO!) and some other flavor that was not as impressive and therefore forgettable. It was freezing in there so we sat in the little park across the street since the bench with a statue of Shakespeare on it (Cincinnati connection?!) was completely wet. Not the best experience, but good ice cream, and we were happy to contribute to keeping this place going. 3.5 stars, rounding up.

Graeter's is a Cincinnati staple and this was my first time stopping by. I decided to go with the Buckeye ice cream which was like a chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and fudge mixed throughout it. It was a really tasty ice cream, for a fairly reasonable price, not cheap but not terrible either. It was too much ice cream for me to finish so I had to give the rest to a friend, but it was really good and this site in particular is in a great neighborhood to explore. There is even a tiny park across the street with outdoor seating for you to enjoy your ice cream when the weather is too good to let yourself be trapped inside!Would recommend checking this place out!

How I haven't reviewed a Graeter's yet, I don't know. This is probably my seventh or eighth trip over the course of the past year and a half.In contrast to the other Graeter's I've been to, this Graeter's has ample seating which was perfect for this particular occasion because I got together with 11 friends. It's great for all the college students who probably fill it up frequently. With 11 people I was able to get some extra input for this review:- "It (the orange and cream milkshake) is very sweet, expected it to be orangier (more tart)"- "Wonderful in every way"- "Big chunks of fudge in the chocolate mixed with the fruity sweetness is just wonderful"- "The strawberry cheesecake is the best I've ever had of this flavor, lots of cheesecake chunks!"The staff was very helpful and for a Wednesday night, they were well staffed in the ice cream side with four employees. If you get a waffle cone, they make sure to stuff it first and then put the scoop on too, so you're getting a hefty scoop! Make sure to try samples if you are curious about a flavor!

Robert was a jerk. I inserted my debit card, selected tip amount, hit confirm and waited. When he finally came back he said, 'you canceled it'. I said, 'no, I made all the selections '. He said 'yes you did'. I told him it wasn't nice to argue with customers. He said, 'I'm gonna argue with you because you're wrong'. I just shook my head and walked away. Entitled little brat who will never see another dime from me.

This is the worst location IMO, which is terrible because it's in my neighborhood. Every time I go in there are new employees (which makes sense because they are all young) but there is zero consistency in scoop sizes. Last time I went in and ordered a small cup, the size of scoop she gave me could have EASILY fit in the bottom of a kids cup. Why am I paying $3.50 for one tiny scoop of ice-cream?? I've even brought it to the managers attention in the past and they got an attitude with me when it was obvious the amount given to me was a lot less than it should be. It's a shame that I always leave disappointed.

Having only been to two Graeter's locations -- here and Colerain Twp. -- this is my favorite Graeter's. There are very few things finer than an afternoon of shopping at Mustard Seed and then eating a cheese crown or other delicious delight from one of Cincinnati's finest ice cream makers. The staff here is friendly and there's a great view from the small park area across the street.

I have been to several Graeter's locations, and this one is as good as any. Great location with plenty of seating indoors, including counters facing the windows if you want to watch the Ludlow Ave pedestrians walk by. Benches nearby on the sidewalk and across the street to sit and enjoy your ice cream as well!

Combination bakery/ice cream/coffee shop. Wonderful ice cream by the pint or bowl. Pastries to take out or eat. Good place to sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by through the windows. Dog friendly water bowl on the sidewalk (two or three other Ludlow Avenue businesses also have sidewalk dog bowls). Graeter's also regularly sells special dog ice cream. Restricted short term street customer parking spots help with the difficult Ludlow business district parking.
