Golden Wok

We placed an order for pick-up. We ordered 2 crab rangoons and used a coupon for a free order if rangoons.. I asked to confirm that they had not charged me for the second. The lady said we had three, the two we ordered plus the free one. Then she went on and on berating me for not understanding how her coupon was supposed to work. She was very rude about it. The food was mid. My wife said her egg rolls tasted like burnt oil and refused to eat them. One of our dishes was supposed to have white rice but we got fried in error. My Szechwan chicken was below par but edible. We definitely will not be back.

Quaint little place in the heart of Burlington! I love this place. Quiet and quaint- always fresh! Craving Chinese? Stop here!!! They never let me down, excellent taste and delicious food! Yummy! Right next to Kroger. General Tso's extra SPICY! Thank me later!

Well, saying I was disappointed would be an understatement. It has been a few years since I have been here (and I remembered it as being fairly decent) and something has happened to this place.So, I broke tradition by not ordering beef lo mein. Instead I opted for Szechuan Chicken. Now, if I remember correctly, Szechuan anything is supposed to be savory and spicy. This stuff was just slightly north of sweet and sour chicken...I DO NOT LIKE sweet Chinese food. That pretty much sucked. Next, I ordered the dinner portion, when I got it, it was in a 2 compartment plastic box. I paid for the dinner size, but it seems I got the lunch size...and hosed in the process. All in all, not a worthwhile visit.

What I ordered was not what I received. Rather than beef lo mein, I received beef with fried rice. Shredded vegetables amongst the beef make it seem like they started to make lo mein then changed their mind.Execution and taste were both lacking. The beef had an almost sponge like texture. The sauce was peculiar. There were congealed lumps in a runny sauce. Taste was more like pan drippings from a roast than Chinese food. Having grown up on authentic Chinese restaurant in California, this one seemed more like mall food court Chinese.

We went there for lunch after our hike. It's one of the restaurants open today, since it's Easter Sunday majority of the local restaurants were close. This place is popular for take outs, but it's also a restaurant where you can sit and enjoy your food. Our server does not seem to speak English well and she seemed to be rushing us when taking our orders. I love good Chinese food- I like that they served complimentary chicken on a stick. We are a party of 5 and each one ordered a cup of soup which was all good, but not piping hot- they way I prefer my soup. For entree- they have a lot to choose from. Each dish comes with white rice or fried rice. Overall, it's good, but not that great. As always, I forgot to take pictures because I'm with family.

I love this place. It is close to our place, next to Kroger (eat before grocery shopping) and friendly owner!!!! It is a small place out of nowhere and the inside also looks so simple, but it is freshly cooked and awesomely tasteful! They also provide the service for a call before pick up which the food will be ready in 10-12 minutes. Sometimes after work, I'd call to pick up and take it home for dinner.Our fav: Crispy Chicken Mongolian BeefOrange ShrimpCrab RangoonThese are our go to! It is highly encourage everyone to try this place and definitely is to return!!

We have been here many, many times and it's been ok. However, in the last few months the food has went downhill. The pieces of chicken are questionable and the fried rice looks more like something you'd get from a Mexican restaurant. There are too many better options out there to continue patronizing Golden Wok.

This is some of the most amazing Chinese food you will ever eat in your life. 10/10 fantastic. The restaurant is clean. The family that owns it is very kind and helpful. I cant eat any other Chinese place because this one is my favorite.

Have been going here since they opened. Covid gave them a hard time to go, yet they were still open. The good used to be hands down the best, but after my order of "not so bourbon" bourbon chicken and tasteless rice, not sure what to do. As I said, the fried rice had no taste and the chicken was just grilled (a little burnt) chicken.

this is their "Pork" always mess up and not willing to fix it or make it right! will not be back. then they gave me food poisoning
