Golden Rule Catering

My fiancé and I called Golden Rule Catering about 4 months ago to hire them for our wedding. Upon calling, my fiancé suggested putting a down payment on now and tasting later because we were excited to hire them. The lady suggested tasting their food first so we complied. The first tasting was rescheduled by the company. The second tasting was rescheduled by the company due to sickness and we were understanding again. Upon the third tasting we received a call saying they booked someone else on our date. They cancelled on our wedding two months prior to after many reschedules on their behalf. The lack of professionalism and communication by this company is profoundly low.

Golden Rule catered our graduation party last weekend and it was phenomenal! The food arrived right on time, with all the fixings and it was delicious. The beef brisket was moist and perfectly cooked, didn't have any chicken barbecue left over. Very helpful in planning too. I highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

We used them as a supplemental catering company (the main courses of meat and deserts were prepared by family members to provide a touch of home cooking and save a little money) for our parent's 50th wedding anniversary party. The food provided by Golden Rule Catering of Amelia OH was marginal at best. They provided seafood stuffed mushrooms caps that were literally swimming in liquid and along with being quite soggy (which is not appetizing at all) the "seafood" was the fake seafood stuff mixed with Italian bread crumbs. The appetizer they provided consisted of a pineapple cut in half and shish-kabob skewers that had 1+" hunks of ham (they were not consistent in size and I think it was a lunch meat type boiled ham) along with raw red onion chunks, cherry tomatoes, some nondescript white cheese - either mozzarella or Swiss cheese, 2-3 slices of pepperoni (folded together), and a pepperoncini. These skewers were then stuck into one of two pineapple half's (think porcupine) and there were maraschino cherries included on these skewers as well.As you might imagine the stuffed mushrooms and appetizer item provided leftovers in significant quantity. On the other hand "stuffed potatoes" were well seasoned and were really the only palatable item Golden Rule Catering provided. I have to say that I will never recommend this catering company to anyone. Buyer beware!!!!

We used Golden Rule Catering for our family Christmas party and they were fabulous! The food was excellent and plentiful. Sarah was very easy to work with and they even delivered on Christmas Day. At the end of the party there was a lot of food left and everyone was eager to take food home. Highly recommend Golden Rule Catering and will definitely use again!
