Golden Buffet Chinese Restaurant

If you have not visited since the renovations you should. Everything is brand new. The environment is vibrant and eye appealing. They have all new food stations. The good has always been good here. Kudos to the owners for the upgrades.

It's a Chinese buffet you get what you get. They do have a good selection of food, sushi, and desserts. I read a review and the review said some of the items were warm even thought it was over a hot plate. This was correct. Some of the items I got were not hot just warm. Which was odd. Overall the place was clean and they did fill everything up one it was empty. Price wise it's reasonable. I will say the pepper chicken was my favorite. And the waiter was great and kept my drink filled up. Overall it's an okay place - nothing spectacular.

I like going here, they have good food. But they seem to nickel and dime you. I went in to get the to go buffet-advertised at $8.99 per pound. I got some rice an egg roll, and some spring rolls and crab racoon. Also some cheesy something. They charged me way extra because they said they charge $3 for egg roll and spring rolls. What? Like advertise that, please. Don't say it's $8.99 per pound then charge individually for everything. Be careful about that. And check your receipts. Had I know it would have been more than the buffet price, I would have eaten the buffet.

My friends and I went for mother's day. We got there pretty early and there was already a fair amount of people there with more coming in as we were seated . I will say they have an amazing selection of food and seafood as well. They have a hibachi grill if that's more of your jam. After reading the reviews I do have to agree the food could have been hotter since they have steam wells but it wasn't . The potstickers were really good as well as the crab rangoon. The bok choy was good as well. As for the rest of the food it was average . I will say though the dessert bar was pretty good with the exception of the Napoleon. The servers were very friendly and attentive&we were not asked for an additional tip. The restaurant itself was clean as well as the tables.

Great buffet. Good service and ambience. Prices are a little high, but for the quality and quantity you get it can't really be beat.

I think this is one of the better buffets in Lexington for Chinese food. They had a good verity of sushi which was nice to try. They had the usual stir fried dishes and general tso chicken. The lunch buffet is 11.99 for all you can eat. We noticed a lot of people getting to go boxes instead of eating in the restaurant.

Apparently this restaurant just did some recent really nice renovations.It shined as you walked in.This is my husband's favorite place,whether it's sit down or a to go for Sunday afternoon.There's much for every taste.Mine is much different than my husband's so we're both happy!We took family and everyone's plate looked a little different...with conversations mm..you should try this!!Even happy little ones. I think it's a great place for couples,family even by yourself.Service great with at table drink orders and friendly smiles.

Food was fresh, prices were fair. Even had crab legs on the buffet. Good sushi selection as well.

I went with my family on a busy Friday night. I walk in and the first thing I see? No crab legs. Okay that's fine there still other things. I went over and grabbed some sushi and my god what I ate was rancid. I'm a big sushi lover so I know pretty well what sushi is supposed to taste like. The server was not nice at all I asked if they served Pepsi or coke products and she got angry I asked. I just decided screw it I'll take coke or Pepsi and got 1 small can of Pepsi that you get in a 12 pack at Walmart and got charged like 2.89$ for it. I would understand if it came with refills but I never got one. Everyone who ate the sushi got sick. Woman got mad that we left a 5$ tip of a 47$ check. I'm a server myself so I understand but when your mean and nasty and have bad service I'm not tipping well. 5$ is more than enough in my opinion.
