Stopped by Sunday 10/22 after reading the November 2023 Cincinnati Magazine Article on the restaurant. We had lumpia, fried tofu, fried tilapia and escabeche pompano with side of garlic rice. All dishes were excellent. Excellent flavors and fish was cooked just right without being overcooked. Kris (owner) was a pleasure to chat with and we will definitely be back. I want to try to tocilog and lechon kawali :)

Whenever I am on travel I try to find Filipino foods. I am a Filipina and love our food. I used to live in the south Lebanon, OH area and the closest Filipino food was 20+ miles away. I have moved and after 2 years I find myself back in the Cincinnati/Mason area. I looked for Filipino food in hopes there are restaurants that are close enough to deliver to my hotel. Yes! Found Filipino Flavors! I was excited to order lumpia, adobo, and garlic rice. To my disappointment the garlic rice wasn't the "true" garlic rice known to Filipinos. It wasn't really "fried" basically it was sautéed and aged minced fried garlic. The only time you taste the garlic is when you have some of the minced fried garlic and it tasted burnt. The adobo was the saving grace of the 1 star! If not I would've have started off with "the only reason I choose a 1 star is because it is required" Adobo is "ok" but very greasy and the flavor is bland. Now on to the star of this review... lumpia! This is a disgrace to the iconic known egg rolls of the Philippines. As you can see from the picture it is SMALL! Not only is it SMALL it is burnt! The sauce is disgusting. How can this be a "side" it's not even an appetizer!!! This was a joke! The owners should be ashamed even making this as a side it should be for free. Or better yet, do not offer it. You can go to any grocery store that sells Lumpia in the frozen section (which I do not buy) and get better size and better tasting. Full disclosure, I do not buy those frozen lumpia's anymore because I tried it once and that was it for me. It's sad when I would recommend to get the store bought frozen lumpia than to order from Filipino Flavors. You'll thank me for showing the picture of the worst mistake you'll make in wanting to get your lumpia craving on.

The owner is so nice. The first time I went there, she made me feel as if I was family. Very bubbly and happy. She loves her job. I ate lumpia and had the sweet rice. Loved it.

Friendly owner and employees. Food and service is excellent. Food takes time to cook but came out delicious. Love the lumpia shanghai and Japanese-style chicken wings. Ordered the bilao dinner tray for take out and kept us full for a couple of days. They also cater for special ocassions. Will be back for more.

Guys. Listen and read. I am Filipina American myself. I came to the the MW from the westcoast myself for personal reasons. It's been 7 years since I have been able to find friends of my own kind. I've been to restaurants only made for a certain crowd and for ethical lawsuit reasons. It wasn't close to my cultural dishes. I'm a busy lady and sometimes I can't always cook myself. Instead....This restaurant has authentic Filipino foods. But, tailored and designed to be settled with the eyes. It's made just to be soft on the eyes but, made by real Filipino people. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was back into my hometown in San Diego, it just felt like at home. I almost cried. A woman I don't even know is already like my auntie and she will make you feel just at home too. Already, I made friends, I felt more welcomed and appreciated. If you're full, HALF or a quarter--please, please stop by at this restaurant!!!! It's like a warp drive into the Philippines or, a Filipino-Owned, California restaurant. This is just only the beginning for the future in the Midwest.

I googled Filipino food in the Cincinnati area and found this place. Everything we tried was incredible! It all tasted very similar to the foods I grew up on. The owner waited on us and was super friendly and made us feel like family. We will definitely be coming back!

Taste is just average at best. We don't care about the price as long as the food taste good and matches what we ordered. We always support local businesses,especially Asian owned... but I CANNOT RECOMMEND GLOBAL CUISINE... until they hired a REAL COOK and good business practices.
